In the fall of 1990, Dick Russell and Rich Ray left a local roofing company (where they had been the commercial and residential estimators) to start Richards Roofing and Exteriors. Richards Roofing was conceived with the idea that quality roofing and exterior work could be provided with integrity and pride.
We at Richards Roofing & Exteriors, Inc. feel that it is important to not be tied to one manufacturer or product. Frequently, our new customers tell us horror stories about being sold products or roofing systems that did not meet their building's needs, and therefore prematurely failed, resulting in legal disputes.
Richards Roofing & Exteriors, Inc. performs installation of many different types of shingle roofs. From simple, low-slope roofs to more complex, steep ones, the options for brands, style, color, and warranty are numerous. Our crews have mastered the multi-layer shingle and cedar-shake tear-off, complete re-decking, and architectural shingle application.

Had siding and gutters installed and very happy with the process. Reasonable quote for the products we selected. When the team arrived, they immediately got to work and worked hard all day to get things done. The team lead Oscar was very easy to work with. Appreciated that they removed items from the side of the house to install siding under them instead of just trimming around things like the cable and phone boxes. Great job and end product looks great.

Richards Roofing recently replaced both the roof and gutters on our home. Can't say enough good about their work. Rich listened to us and addressed every problem that we had in detail in his proposal. The work was performed exactly as promised and the crew was very professional and thorough. Critical: Quality, Value Gave an estimate for flashing without even looking at the chimney. He said he looked at the chimney until I told him I watched him. The estimate was 3 times more to fix the same thing they "repaired" 6 yrs ago. I would not recommend them since their work is not that good. I would give O stars if that was an option.

Richards is a reputable company that stands behind their work. After having problems with a relatively new roof (less than 5 years old), it was determined that I had defective shingles. Richards, who installed the roof, worked with me to try to get TAMKO (the manufacturer of the shingles) to honor their warrenty and stand behind their product. After this was unsuccessful, Richards did the right thing and replaced my roof with shingles of a different company (I was told they no longer use TAMKO products). I am very pleased with the service and treatment I got from Richards. They run a good, honest business. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about TAMKO.
