I thought total roofing was okay at first after they did the roof. It took a month to get the final inspection because there's always something wrong with the paperwork. I was supposed to have a wind mitigation inspection done and to this date 3 months after the installation I still do not have the wood mitigation report from them. I had to get another wood mitigation report and pay for it out of my pocket because of the insurance becoming renewable.
Unfortunately the wind mitigation report failed and I notified total roofing immediately the report says I use 6-in nails instead of 8 inch nails I have been trying to get this rectified ever since they keep referring me to another number for the wind mitigation since it is a third party I have text them numerous times and have never gotten a response at this point I feel like total roofing just put a roof on and forgot about me and I would not recommend them anymore

The roof on my house was replaced in 2005 by Total Roofing, all along the front eves they replaced rotted plywood. In 2019 I bought a 1700 lumen flashlight and decided to inspect the roof decking from inside the attic, and then I noticed a rotted area of roof decking under a front eve, and rotted subfacia 2x6s under another front eve. I didn't know if it was new or old leaks so I opened both areas up. 1) The rotted roof decking was bone dry, even though it had been raining.
What happened in 2005 is when they removed the old 15 lb felt (code in 1993) covering the rotted decking they decided to skim coat it with roof tar because, I assume, it was under an eve and so not easy to cut out, they then left the remaing 15 lb felt on that eve and covered it all with 30 lb felt (code in 2005). It took almost a whole 2'x4' sheet of plywood to replace the rotten decking they skim coated with tar and left covered with the old 15 lb felt (see picture). 2) When I opened the facia to get to the rotted subfacia 2"x6" the aluminum facia they installed came apart in two pieces, because they scored the back of the alumnium facia to make a corner, but they cut it too deep and it cracked when they bent it.
But they installed it anyway, and over 15 years water seeped through the cracked facia corner and rotted out the subfacia 2x6 behind it (see picture). There was no water damage in the roof decking above the rotted 2x6 subfacia. There were more problems too, 3) when they installed the alumium ridge vents they screwed it in, but ripped out one screw and left it there loose, water drained down the screw and rotted out the roof decking.
When I called Total Roofing about these issues they sent out a licenced roofer (Jesse W.), for issue 1 with the rotted decking on the front eve he said they installed the non code 15 lb felt first and then covered it with 30 lb felt! For issue 2 he acknowledged they installed the fascia in two non ovelapping pieces, but wouldn't do anything about because it had been 15 years.
He didn't say anything about issue 3. When I looked carefully at the remaining facia they installed I found flashing that wasn't covered by the facia (allowing water to get between them), and soffit vents that had large gaps between them and the facia allowing insects access to inside the roof. Overall poor workmanship and attention to detail. The only good news is the roof with 30 yr shingles they put on has not leaked. Jesse W. wanted $1,600 to just repair issue 1, the rotted decking on the front eve.

Total Roofing was low bidder on the re-roof of my flat roof on a 50's era building. All went well, they did everything they should have done plus more without question or extras. If it was rotted, they replaced it! I was there the whole time. I am a retired licensed general contractor in Florida and 20 other states. I would recommend them without question. Juan was the foreman and has been with them for 14 yrs. Most roofers charge extra for every nail. Not Total Roofing.

A contractor you can trust. I have recommended total roofing multiple times through my career to my clients and have always experienced a white glove level of service from estimation through installation. Mr Wright is an upfront pricer and stands behind his work. I definitely endorse this company's services for repairs or replacements.

Earl Wright and Total Roofing repaired a leak on our roof several months agot. It was a difficult leak--hard to detect and to fix. When the roof was not fixed the first time, the company readily came out and fixed it. The owner and the workers are very honest and they do superb work. I would highly recommend Total Roofing for whatever your roofing needs might be. The company has an impeccable reputation and they will never never disappoint you. Their prices are excellent too!

Totally satisfied with my roofing job. Earl came out and gave me an estimate on the spot very friendly and knowledgeable. Where two other companies said they would not do the job, Total Roofing said they would. The installers were friendly, skilled hardworking and clean. Left my place cleaner than when they started. You could try the rest, but Total is the best, believe me I know!

We have know Earl for many years. In 2015 we needed to replace our roof but we also needed to do the prudent thing and vet other contractors to make sure we were making the right decision. After careful consideration we decided to hire Total Roofing. Earl's team did an excellent job for a reasonable price. We are very pleased with our new roof.
