Not sure why we went with anyone else, but long story short after a terrible run with another company who left our roof unresolved with a leak and ghosted us for a year, we can now thank Bay Roofing for helping to resolve the issue and now live happily with a LEAK FREE roof and a skylight that now sees the light of day instead of a blue tarp (which was the solution for over a year).

The other company? Northkit Roofing. It was a long and stressful road to this point but let's just say champagne is on ice and will be enjoyed at some point this week. Thank you to Steve and the team for helping us out and making sure the job was done right. lesson learned- you get what you pay for.

I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! Phenomenal company, they did an amazing job - they were quick and efficient, incredibly kind and understanding, and very professional. I cannot recommend them enough!

I was referred to Bay Roofing from a neighbor who was very pleased with the new roof they had installed. These guys are great. Our dining room ceiling leaked from storm Ida so we figured it was time for a new roof. Very professional team. They went to my attic and took pictures and showed us where the roof was wearing out. They also vented the roof which they explained the necessity of doing that. They were very careful with my new driveway and cleaned up beautifully. Thank you to the whole team!

I have used Bay Roofing for years after receiving a recommendation from a neighbor who also has a slate roof. The office staff is warm, responsive and always follows up. The roofers are expert, neat and do a great job. I usually work with Jay, who manages the projects. He is good, professional. Finding a trade who understands slate roof maintenance is hard- these folks are pros.

This job started with PJ Fitzpatrick and there were quite a few miscommunications from the day we signed a contract to when the dumpster was dropped - 7:15am! Once we elevated our concerns to the project manager, it was white glove treatment from there on out. Customer Service is extremely important to us, as a family business, our reputations mean the world.

We were impressed to see that Bay Roofing has the same ethos about legacy! Chris followed up multiple times and Todd spent hours thoroughly cleaning up the job site. Todd even removed debris from a small portion of our neighbor's yard as well, since it was so windy during the roof replacement. Once they took over the reins, this team went above and beyond.

Now this is how you run a business! Great work all around. From the workers, to the person that made the appointment, to the business owner. We called several people to give us quote. They mostly came out around the same price. So we went with Bay because they had the best reputation and answered my questions in a helpful and respectful way. Excellent, professional, quality work all around.

I had a couple things I wanted done after the work was finished and they were happy to come back and fix some spots. The work was all done while I was at work, with all communication done either by email or by phone when I was available. I'd highly recommend this business for your roof.

Our entire roof was replaced by Bay in early December 2021. Very satisfied with the completed work. The job was done exactly as quoted & the office staff did an excellent job! Good job start to finish! Especially want to thank Dave Sr., Dave Jr. and Michelle for taking such good care of us.

Impressive expertise and quality of work on a relatively complex (though small) repair for a historic Tudor slate roof. Did not over-sell, efficiently executed just what was required, to a high quality standard. 10-year guarantee of workmanship, for a slate roof project. Also very good strategy advice for maintaining this 90 year old slate roof which can still serve for many years. We worked with Jay, the company's slate roofing team leader, and had a great experience all around. For slate roof expertise, highly recommend!

Upon researching roofing companies, I would seek out direct recommendations as I would any contractor or service repair company. Bay Roofing & Construction came highly recommended to me by three independent sources, all of which were extremely credible and share the same values: Quality service, attentiveness, neatness, reliability, integrity, professionalism, responsiveness, and true customer focus.

I can't say enough about the hard working crew that did our roof. Dave Jr. manager, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and personable, a real pleasure to deal with. He visited the job site throughout the duration of the install and his communication with his workers was outstanding. He answered all our questions and available for contact before and during the roof construction at any time.

Dave, Jr. was just great. He inspected the damage and didn't settle for the easy solution. Upon further review he discovered that the issue resulted from damage in a place I never would have suspected. Dave not only found the source but immediately sealed the breech where water was getting in and damaging my property. At all times he was respectful and professional. What a great ambassador for his company. Bay Roofing will be my goto company.

Recently had my roof done. Dave and Bill were great. The quality of the materials and workmanship was top notch. They stuck to their schedule and clearly communicated with us. Bay Roofing recently installed a new roof for us. Bill (their sales person) and Steve (their co-owner) were both being very professional. They know their work and their business well. The installation team did a great job at installing the new roof - they were very efficient and they cleaned up everything nicely. Our new roof looks beautiful. Their price is reasonable as well. Steve spent additional time addressing the issues we saw and perfecting their work - big thank to him.

We were recommended to them by our neighbors who hired them twice in the past for new roofs, with a time span of over 20 years. We will see how the roof last in the next few months/years and we will be happy to recommend them to our neighbors in the future.

My wife and I have been repeat customers for years, and even part of their list of referrals, which we gave a couple times to prospective clients of theirs. We would have written similar glowing reviews except that, as of late, they have stopped answering our calls after they came to our house but never gave us an estimate for a couple of regular repairs.

I guess it is more interesting for them to replace roofs than to repair them. Maybe good for them, but in the end, a simple phone call would have gone a long way. We are pretty disappointed.and give them 2 stars out of consideration for the past work that they have done.

It took me awhile to pick the right roofing company. I am so happy I went with Bay roofing. Their craftsmanship is second to none. Father and Son were both present during the installation of my new roof which is very rare to find. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the selection of products needed for the job, during the job and even after. I went with timberline American harvest shingles and it looks amazing! Thank you again Bay Roofing.

Bay Roofing was fantastic to deal with from start to finish. After getting many, many quotes, Bay Roofing's quote was totally reasonable in cost and everyone I spoke with was incredibly friendly and up-front. They did not use any salesy tactics and I felt totally comfortable booking the job. Everyone I spoke with, from Steve who did the quote and managed everything, to the team in the office, and the team who re-did the roof were always friendly and professional.

The job was done in record time (not even a full day), cleanup was excellent, and the roof looks beautiful. Thank you all so much! We had a phenomenal experience with Bay Roofing. Dave did a new roof and replaced all our gutters. The team that came was extremely professional and honest about the work while performing. Always showing up on time and cleaned up each day after the days work. I cannot say enough of how great it was to work with them and would recommend to anyone looking for a new roof or gutter system.

Unfortunately, we had to contact Bay Roofing 3 times before someone finally came to our home. He looked over our roof and said he would give us a written estimate.one month+ and we haven't heard back. We reached out again today and we're told someone would call us back this afternoon. Well once again no one called as promised. Lack of Reliability gets Bay Roofing 1 star, and that's for someone answering the phone. Now we are left with a leak that has damaged the ceiling in our home.

I would highly recommend using Bay Roofing for full gutter and leader replacement. Steve from Bay Roofing was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. He came and assessed the job and proposed a fair and reasonable estimate. The work was completed by Costa Seamless Gutters Construction. I have a fairly tall house with two tiers that needed gutter replacement and one tier that needed some facial board replacement. Costa did the work seamlessly and the job was completed within a day.

The crew was very careful and skillful and thoroughly cleaned up the debris afterwards. They arrived on time as scheduled and completed the work without any major inconvenience to us. We are extremely pleased with the new gutters and leaders, and they have performed flawlessly in the recent rainfalls that we've had. Great job guys!

Unreliable service. I called and they stated someone would be out to quote my roof repairs last week, no one showed. They said someone will be out Monday/Tuesday and AGAIN no one showed. Customer service is horrible and do not recommend. Find a company who cares.

Replacing our roof was an undertaking that we took seriously. After all this is a decision that sticks with you for 30 years. We received five estimates as we were looking for someone that could not only do an excellent job, but someone we could trust. In the end, the decision to go with Bay Roofing was absolutely the right one. Working with the entire team was seamless. They completed the job in two days and left our property spotless. We highly recommend them for all of your roofing needs.

We just had our roof done by Bay Roofing. They went above and beyond our expectations and we would Highly recommend them without any hesitation. I am baffled by some of these negative reviews because this company was fantastic and they communicated with us every step of the way.

It's challenging to find a trustworthy and skilled roofing company, but Bay Roofing was all that and more for us! After we did an extensive search, our neighbor highly recommended them and are we glad he did! They were on time, friendly, professional and actually came in under their quote (don't expect that to be standard, but it speaks to their honesty!). Bay wasn't the cheapest option, but you know the old saying about it being less expensive in the end to do the job the RIGHT way! They have the high level of expertise we were hoping for and we are very happy with their work!

Totally unprofessional. DO NOT HIRE! They gave me an estimate to repair about 20 slate roofing tiles. $1200. I wasn't home when they came, but my security system videoed the crew. they were only at the house for an hour and only replaced about three slate tiles with maybe a piece of copper flashing. I had also taken numerous pictures of both before "repair " and after which confirmed the video. Of course I will never pay the bill. Total scams. Jay felt bad but did nothing. Lol. Terrible

I had called a few places for a full roof replacement and they were by far the most responsive, reasonably priced and honest. I was also concerned about rot under the shingles and even pushed for replacement of the plywood, and while they gave me two separate estimates so i knew what how much more expensive it would be, they consistently suggested it was unlikely to be necessary given what they could see.

In the end they were correct and saved me many thousands of dollars. They dealt with difficult neighbors (Jersey City), roof looks great, was done in a very reasonable amount of time and they left the site clean. I would clearly recommend them.

Buyer Beware. I called Bay Roofing Fairfield NJ to help repair soffits on my home. The salesman ( brother) was overly friendly, but I had heard they were local and had a good reputation ( I thought) so I hired them to fix my soffits. They also recommended other work which I had them do. but the primary focus was the soffits. I also explained that I would consider aluminum style soffits if they could not repair or fix the wooden ones that were on my older home.

To make a long story short. They came back twice (I had to call them).because the original job was done poorly. The job was still not completed correctly. And they seemed to think it was funny. My soffits are back to what they were originally. falling down, open and harboring insects that get into my home. Although I paid them most of what I owed them.

I did not give them the final payment until they completed/fixed the job. Their response was to threaten a lean on my house. If you are looking for good reliable work done. Do NOt use them.

Had a leaky roof spot so I called a few contractors for estimates. What I got was either "You have to replace the whole roof section" or the came and never called back. Despite all their ads for repairs, seems most dont want to be bothered unless you spend thousands. Steve from Bay came out and gave me an estimate. it was a bit high to be honest, but he was clear. "If I do it, I own it" so he described exactly what he had to do in detail. l also needed a spot over a door that needed to be fixed. Got a few more estimates and they were cheaper but "no guarantee". Steve walked through it with me though and was very honest.

I ended up saying ok and although at first he said the price didnt Include the over the door repair, when I pointed out that he had said it was included, he honored the original agreement. They came and fixed everything. at first thier team missed a few things but they came back and did it right away and didnt ask for payment until I was satisfied.

They even asked before billing me if I was happy with the work. of course I wont know if it s fixed until after another storm, they made me feel comfortable that they would handle it. Hopefully the leak is fixed but these things you never know until a big storm comes, but at least Steve and his crew made sure they were clear and that they "own it".

Its much better to deal with someone who is honest up front and tells you they stand by their work. they also make sure everything is cleaned up and left in great condition. As a result, I'd recommend them. Getting an honest contractor who is willing to tell you honestly that they will take responsibility for their work in advance, mames you more at ease about spending a bit more. When I need more roof work, ill call Bay. thanks!
