Frank Larson, Sr., founded King-Lar Company in 1927 on the basic philosophy that man's success is directly dependent on his willingness to work and study to achieve his goal in life. King-Lar company began as a small furnace and roofing company at 1036 North Water Street in Decatur. An increased demand for custom built sheet metal products made construction necessary of a second building on the west side of Water Street in 1948.
After WWII, when natural gas became more available to the residential market, King-Lar jumped into the home heating and air conditioning business. Forming an alliance with Lennox Industries that still exists today, King-Lar established themselves as a dependable and reliable provider of home heating and cooling systems.

Very helpful, professional and responsive. I needed a piece of metal bent for a project and they jumped right on it. Everyone was very nice from the gals in the office to the guys in the shop. It was a small job but they still treated it like it was important to them. The rate they charged was very reasonable also. Next time I need something done I will go back.

I thought that they would schedule a service person to come over possibly the following week. I wasn't ready for them to say that they could have someone over in thirty minutes. The tech came in looked over the problem, scratched his head for a moment, then went to work fixing the problem. He solved it from experience and not from text book. I was afraid I'd have to mortgage the place to pay for this level of experience.
The bill was as much a shock as low as it was as the speed the job was completed. I am well satisfied. You can probably find someone cheeper but it won't be less expensive. If you don't understand that get back and I'll tell you all about it.

Great service! After a local storm took down power line and central air unit tries to kick on while using a generator, we were without a/c for 8 days. Every other HVAC shops were several days out. Contacted them on Monday the 3rd of June, and they were out the next morning. Rob did a wonderful job of troubleshooting the issue(s) AND repairing them immediately.
All parts needed were in his van and readily available. Replaced a bad realy, 2 capacitors, and 1 contact on the outside unit. Very reasonable I believe for the superior quality if work completed. Only thing was he had to use my drill which I should have gotten a discount ()! If you are in need if high quality repair work to your central a/c and or HVAC, take my advice and give them a call, I know they'll be the 1st ones I contact if ever needed too again!
