All the team including Rudy and Juan did a great job replacing my old roof and went the extra mile for me. They started a day early and spent 4 days to replace all the termite damaged wood. They were positive and appreciative. It couldn't have been a better experience.

Sequoia roofing has worked on two houses for my family (my own and my mother's house). This is an average score between the two jobs they've performed. Overall, I think the company seems responsive and addresses issues when brought up. Let's start with the positives: - very responsive sales agent - professional, clear, and very communicative with both inquiries and issues/problems - work all went according to schedule Opportunities for improvement: - (first job) covered up an existing vent that went through roof (was a bathroom exhaust vent).

I didn't notice this until I was in the attic for a different reason. Not sure why they did this but it was addressed when I called later to get it taken care of. - (first job & second job) the cleanup of nails and debris could have been better. For the first job, there were still a lot of nails left in the grass (backyard) that I removed myself.

I was concerned because I have two dogs that roam the yard. Conceivably, it's easy to miss those nails because there is vegetation and such. I contacted Sequoia, and they said that they'd come out and sweep the yard for nails. For the second job, the entire backyard/sideyard is concrete but there were still a lot of nails left lying around.

It wasn't a complete mess but I would have expected a better job of removing the debris especially for a concrete based yard. - (second job) some work done by a newer employee working on the roof had to be redone (flashing, some of the shingles). Misc: - lumber cost is phenomenally high right now so prepare yourself for some crazy add on costs (raised our original contract bid about 50% after the work was done).

This isn't the fault of Sequoia, just the market rates but the markup still hurts the wallet. - a flat roof with 20 year warranty was worked on which has always been problematic for the second house. Will update review if there are any issues there.

Sequuoia did a great job! Dry rot repairs and termite after 23 years. The GAF product looks great and the installation team was ontime, clean and very efficient. Rudy and his team were amazing. They started the job on time, cleaned up daily, and finished the roof in just over 2 days. That included removal of 1 layer of roofing material, wood repair, and reshingling. I've gotten several quotes. These guys were the best value by far. The product they use is high quality with awesome warranties. I had to organize the take down of my solar panels with another company and sequoia (Rudy) was always easy to contact and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

We contracted Sequoia Roofing to come out and replace our shingle roof. Aaron came out and provided what I believed to be a fair price. The crew was professional, timely and courteous. We are very happy with the results as the roof looks great! While I didn't work with Mike, the owner, I did have a couple of back and forth emails and he was lightning quick to respond and take care of questions that I had. You can tell that he has pride in his business and his reputation. I highly recommend if you need your roof done!

Mike and Sequoia Roofing are hands-down the best company to go with for anyone needing a new roof. I shopped around, getting estimates from 4 different companies, before contacting with Sequoia. Mike offered the best price and warranty of anyone and the customer service could not be better.

Here's the latest update. So after several attempts I was able to get Michael to get in contact with me. And within an hour someone came to take a look at the roof and said that they will fix it since it's under warranty. So I'm a much happier camper this week

We hired Sequoia because my neighbor recommended them. The job was the replacement of asphalt sheet on a low slope section of my roof with torch-down low-e material, along with repairing wood damage in the eaves. Sequoia gave us a preliminary bid over the phone, which did not differ from the formal bid once inspected. I was pretty impressed that they got the job done, from call to completion, within a week (work took a day and a half).

There hasn't been rain yet to "leak test" the new roof yet but the damage repair looks good and we know we will benefit from the low-e insulation and reflective surface. The guys doing the work were nice, and left things clean.

I have worked with Sequoia Roofing for nearly 10 years and highly recommend them. Since first buying my house, Mike has worked with me to repair and upgrade aspects of my older roof. He has been informative and always guided me with honesty. The last rains brought some issues and it was time to replace my nearly 38 year old roof. Sequoia Roofing was subcontracted by my Solar installation company to do a complete re-roof. They jacked up! They did not do the job correctly to specs, had zero on site communication, and their foreman was missing in action. They didn't install enough vents and used replacement tiles that were not approved by for color prior to installation. When brought to their attention they slithered away like snakes. Avoid these weasels

Our roof was just completed by Sequoia Roofing and they did an amazing job! From working with Mike R on the estimate, product and discovery of what caused the leak the customer service was top notch. The roofing crew arrived on schedule did a very through and timely job and were diligent about keeping the work site clean and safe. I did my homework and received 4 bids on my project. Mike did an excellent job keeping in our budget and providing a quality and affordable new roof with attention to detail (solar removal/installation, matching trim) and customer service.

We needed a complete reroof, and both a friend and a real estate agent recommended Sequoia. In autumn 2016 Sequoia installed a new Owens Corning Preferred Protection Roof. That was 3 years ago and we haven't had any issues since. Also, we were randomly selected by Owens Corning for a roof inspection, and they stated, "We are happy to confirm your roof has been professionally installed and is in good condition."

Sequoia did a great job on our house. They were contracted through our Solar company but we couldn't be happier with them. We had a couple of last minute additions to the scope because the start date wasn't properly communicated by our solar company (they told us the night before the start). Mike (the Owner) came out the next morning and made sure he understood the added items and submitted a price to the contracting Solar Company.

Instead of waiting around for them to process and send the costs to me and delay the job (took them 2 days), he communicated with us and got the work done without any delays to the project. They tore off 2 layers of old roofing, added 5 passive vents, a ridge vent, replaced 3 fascia boards, installed a solar attic fan and a new roof in 2 days.

I spoke to Mike with Sequoia Roofing and asked for a quote to replace my tar and rock roof with something that the solar companies could work with. He recommended a product that came with a 20 yr warranty and reflected 80% of the suns heat. Furthermore Mike worked with my solar company (SolarTech) to install the solar panel supports in the right locations on the roof.

His crew was efficient, knowledgeable and did their best to minimize additional costs when problems arose. I've recommended Sequoia Roofing to my mom in Fallbrook and my dad in San Clemente.

Mike is literally the nicest guy. Like ever! Leaks and finding out you have to replace your roof is an expense that you never want to have to incur; however, he makes it so less painful. he also came in at a lower quote of the other three companies we had come out. From beginning to end he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Phenomenal job on our roof too!

Sequoia did an excellent job re-roofing my home. Because of some outside circumstances on my end, we had to reschedule the work a few times. Mike was very patient and accommodating to these challenges and got the work done in a timely manner. Of the three bids I obtained, Sequoia came in the lowest and also offered the best warranty, making them by far the best value. I give them my highest recommendation.

Mike and his team did a superb job. Hightly recommend using this company. Also, the price was incredible. If anything, make sure you get a quote from this company. You will be pleasently surprised. Also, don't waste your money getting a lift and lay. If you did not know, a lift and lay is considered MAINTENANCE, so it does not have to adhear to the new roofing codes for a cool roof.

So if you are thinking about a new roof I would not wait. Prices are going up. Also, you can have your choice of tiles from Boral or Eagle. I chose Eagle tiles since they looked stronger. Finally - I'm just a consumer like you, trying to save a buck and get good value for my dollar. Retired Navy.

Aaron Bell and his crew replaced our roof up in Julian when other companies wouldn't take the job because of a gravel narrow road and very steep roof. They showed up when they said, quickly did the job and met the timelines regardless of very heavy winds on some days. Aaron was sure to oversee the job regularly and the roof looks great. If you need roofing repairs, Mike Rochholz, is your guy! He came out to provide us with an estimate and was quickly able to schedule our repair for their next availability. The roof looks great! I especially appreciated the fact that they came out to work on the repair soon after the rain stopped today. They are very professional and prompt with their responses.

They are not like other roofing business companies that sell to just make a sale, they truly care that they meet your expectations. They will provide you with several options to meet your budget. I couldn't ask more from a roofing company. I needed a skylight replaced on a house that was not mine. I called Aaron Bell and he took time out of his busy schedule to drive all the way down to southern San Diego, meet with the owner and had the skylight replaced in a day. I was really in a pinch and Aaron bailed me out, no questions asked. He was on time, professional and trustworthy. I will be calling on Aaron for all my roofing needs from here on out. Great job!

Found Sequoia Roofing from Angie's List. Wanted a metal roof on my house. San Diego metal roofing contractors are hard to find at reasonable price. Sequoia responded promptly and began the job right away. My roof has many different peaks and radiuses so the job took some time because of their attention to detail and quality custom work performed. Sequoia also coordinated with solar contractors and ensured installation went smoothly. Bottom line - Sequoia Roofing did an excellent job.

Excellent company, professional through and through. We had Mike and his team come out and repair our 40 year old flat roof. They did an exceptional job demoing, repairing and replacing our roof. They even came back out a year later to make sure there was pooling or anything to fix. Very reasonable pricing, but exceptional customer service. Highly recommend them!

I'm a manager in a commercial building in Chula Vista, our roof leaked when it rained, we also had a part of the roof where the wood planks were rotting. Late last year, I searched online for roof maintenance/roofing in San Diego, had about eight or nine companies come in for a quote, including Sequoia. Comparing all the quotes, Sequoia didn't have the best price, however, the representative Rudy Turner, left the best impression.

He was clear with his answers to my questions and he gave honest feedback. Due to the busy holiday season I wasn't able to get the roofing done until February this year, but because Rudy left such an impression I knew who I'd be calling to get our roof fixed. He came in the the following few days, and gave us a new quote, which was lower than the previous quote.

Within a week or two he had his guys up on the roof, he was constantly updating me on the progress, sending pictures of the before, during and after and calling every few days. The project took about 10 days or so, Rudy was attentive and professional and always answered the phone when I called, and he had great guys working around the clock on the project, the guys were polite and didn't leave anything behind. This is getting very long, to wrap up, this is a great company call them for all your roofing needs.

We found out about Sequoia Roofing through Angies List. We own the Long Waterman Mansion located in the Bankers Hill area of San Diego. We needed to replace our shingle roof and do our best to maintain the integrity of this National Historic Site. Rudy (The Roofer) responded quickly to our request for a bid on our roof replacement and provided a quote that covered our needs without adding a bunch of unneeded options. He recommended using the highest rated roofing material which carries a lifetime warranty. We appreciated receiving the information we needed without being overwhelmed. Very professional.

We called three times on three different occasions and left msgs each times with the answering service. The 2nd time I called I asked do you think someone will call me back soon and the person says "I don't know do you want to leave a message or not". I realize my Yelp review is more for the Answering Service and not the company.unless Sequoia is receiving our messages and not returning calls.
