Called for estimate and response was very quick and professional. The job was completed approximately 3-4 weeks after signing contract. Two men showed up and completed the job in 2 days. We did our research knowing we needed a new roof, but when I read the reviews of O'lyn and met with Roland, We were sold. No hard sells no gimmicks, hard working trusted family business. When work got started we ran into issues on our roof, John, Marco, and Roland were exceptional, they worked with us and made it work. When work was done, and I drove by my house, it looked amazing! Our house roof is the prettiest roof on the street, I am so pleased, so much so we will be doing business with them again. Thank you.

I dreaded replacing the roof, but a leaking skylight made it imperative. O'Lyn was so great to work with. Made the process smooth and painless, and the prices were still good on comparison with other places. They managed to get the whole roof and 4 skylights replaced in one day. And the cleanup was so thorough that our yard looked better than when they first arrived! I know I won't need another roof in my lifetime, but if I did, I would only call O'Lyn.

O'LYN Roofing provided excellent service to replace my house's old roof. When I contacted them, they responded promptly to schedule a meeting with me, through which I was well educated about roof replacement process and roof materials. They did not give me pressure at the end of the meeting so that I could compare their service with other potential service providers.

I finally chose O'LYN Roofing because of their professionalism, excellent shingle technology, excellent reputation, and reasonable pricing. Within a week after I signed the contract with them, they contacted me to schedule roof replacement. During roof replacement, a manager, who is a kind gentlemen, was on-site to answer my questions and supervised the process.

The workers are experienced and worked hard. When I went out home, they gave me kind smiles. They put curtains to protect my home when they replaced my house's old roof. As promised, the roof replacement was done within one day. After finishing the work, they cleaned the surrounding of my house to make sure no nails were left. I am very satisfied with their excellent service and strongly recommend them to anyone who would like to replace their house roofs

My roof was replaced by O'LYNN, initially it looked good. But a problem occurred with one of my skylights which started leaking. I had no problem prior to roof replacement. Called the company many times about this issue Finally someone came out, took a look but got no response, called to find out about repairing the leak which occurred 6 months after roof replaced, I later got a proposal to replace the skylight for $5000 which didn't include repairs or damages from leak.

The skylight do not need to be replaced, the sloppy job needs to fix that's all am asking. I was told by a contractor the leaking is caused by the way the metal flashing at the bottom of the skylight was installed when the roof was replaced which causing water to collect and not adequately draining and the sealant around the skylight. I called to speak to the owner one week ago with no response. I may have to go an alternative route to deal with this company. would not recommend them to do business.

Don't trust O'Lyn. We experienced poor communication, shoddy and dangerous workmanship, significant extra charges that we never agreed to, and legal bullying. They added 50% to the original agreed-upon cost of the project for extra work we never approved. When we objected they refused to talk to us about it at all and had their lawyers put a lien on our house. Workers had a serious accident on site, left in a hurry damaging our property without telling us about it and without cleaning up. There are more responsible companies out there.

Contacted O'Lyn for an estimate to replace fascia and install all new gutters. Quick contact back and timely visit. Start time was about 10 days later than expected but a large crew showed up and took care of the job in one day. It's been a wet week and they did a good job keeping the yard clean. Crew manager (John) kept in contact and came over next day for a walk through. Very pleased with service.

I'm very pleased with my new roof! The team at O'LYN were professional and kind. I especially enjoyed working with Tanya (scheduling and materials) and Guy, my job supervisor, who went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the clean up and all the details before he left the job. We loved working with O'Lyn Roofing. They were very responsive and efficient, very service oriented and took into account our timing constraints in scheduling their work. We appreciated Mike's detailed explanation of what needed to be done. The project manager, Guy, was great as well and he went out of his way to make sure that we were happy with the work that was done (and he even helped us install a window screen - which was not part of our roof repair). The O'lyn company was professional from the first introduction of their excellent website to the excellent in-person presentation by Justin of their products and services. We chose them based on both of those excellent first impressions and were pleased with the follow through excellent work and craftsmanship as they worked with our many skylights and small details. The roofers were pleasant, respectful and professional.

We received a few quotes, but ultimately went with O'Lyn given the projects we've seen them complete around Newton. O'LYN Roofing was extremely professional from start to finish. The crew worked fast and cleaned up every day before they left with a strong magnet. There were a couple of punch list items that the owner Michael finished himself since his crew was on to the next project but wanted to take care of us and not make us wait. The entire project was on time and took 5 days to complete all-in. I highly recommend O'LYN for all your roofing needs.

Amazing honesty and business practices. I was worried about ice dams and water from a roof valley flowing over the gutters. Shawn O'Connor came out to our house and walked through all of my concerns. Shawn asked some clarifying questions to establish that we did not have roof leaks or water infiltration. Even though it meant no compensation to him or business for his company, Shawn explained how our existing roof was fine, functioning as designed and had many years of good life left. I'd recommend Shawn & O'Lyn to our neighbors and hope that we are still in the house when we really do need a new roof, we'll call O'Lyn.

The roof cleaners just left. Two guys were here for 3 hours. Total cost was $2850, which equates to $950 / hour for two guys, two pressure washers, and a big tank of a "proprietary" cleaner. The roof is clean and they cleaned up in the yard, so the work was done well, but.$950 per hour. Come on. And my experience in getting call backs was similar to others.

The sales guy, Shawn, is all over you to get the contract signed and the deposit paid, but then won't return your call. Called the office once. No call back. A sharply worded text finally got a reply. Not good. My advice.get lots of competitive quotes or DIY. For $2800 you can buy a really nice pressure washer, several ladders and a lot of cleaner. I want to amend my previous review. The delays in having the skylight replaced were not the fault of O'Lynn, but the Skylight producer. However, there was little reaching out from the office to tell us what was happening.

$4,950 price quote for north side roof cleaning, plumbing vent collar, and 2'x2' shingle repair. Triple my other quotes. Beyond overpriced!

No Way!. Made an apt 5 weeks ago. Still no estimate. Called and was told it may be due to the size of the job. Then I was put on hold, came back and told me they called back for a 2nd visit. NEVER received a call. Can you imagine if I ever let them start on the roof? Don't want the run around. Would never, ever give them my business. Everything happens for a reason. Comment to ownership: Find out why potential customer NEVER received and estimate. In the end, it comes out of your pocket.

I've worked with O'Lyn twice. The first was a small job that I was happy with, they worked fast and keep to the planned schedule. The second job was a full pitched roof and a flat roof replacement. It was a sizeable job, and I compared sevaral bids and their potential over run rates. O'Lyn's estimate and rates were competitive.

Their finished job ended up 20% over estimate and included costs that are not listed anywhere on the contract. I got an expensive surprise of $20 per foot of extra costs not listed or priced in the "Additional Charges" portion, or any other part of contract, nor verbally explained at any point until I called to complain after receiving the final invoice.

The owner maintains the additional materials and work were necessary. I believe that's true, but I have to take it on faith, and that's little comfort when paying charges not supported by the signed contract nor verbally disclosed, at rates they assure me are standard though several times higher than the per foot rates they do list. The work itself looks good and they warranty craftsmanship for 10 years, just beware when comparing bids and budgeting that all costs are not disclosed and their quote may be optimistic.

On Nov 7, 2018, we hired Olyn Roofing to shingle our house, and replace the gutters. It looks like they did a good job as far as I can tell. The guys showed up on time and finished the same day. Early in the morning the sales manager, Tod knocked on my door looking for his money.,T he job hadn't even been started yet. What a money hungry bunch of guys, not a very professional company.

I gave him the 2 checks and he left. Twenty minutes later another guy showed up named John looking for the money I gave the first guy. Tried to collect the money twice and insinuated that I never paid the first guy. Don't pay them until they finish the job. They can't be trusted. J and J Rosenburg/Quincy, MA

Although it is a busy time of the year, it took almost two weeks to set up appointment to quote a 250sqft replacement of an EPDM membrane on a roof. Mike came out and ultimately indicated that if I expected to have have the job done under 12-14k$, I should be disappointed. I would also have to wait till the Spring for the work to be done. Other roofers with excellent Yelp reviews have quoted me around $4,000 for the job. Needless to say the amount of the quote and demeanor of Mike make me skip O'Lyn Roofing and go for a reputable roofer.

When I needed a new roof I searched several companies. O'yln gave me the best price and offered a start date that worked with the family schedule. Being in Quincy I was looking for a local company to do the work, that way I knew I could contact them for problems. The house had 3 roofs and they went on seamlessly. the workers were neat and the yard was cleaner when they left than at the start. NO nails were found in the yard and everything was removed.

I notice a slight problem a few weeks later and I called John Olen and he sent out Guy a few days later and he cured the slight problem. Thanks to the O'len family for having such a great company.

O'Lyn replaced the leaky roof on my old house quickly and well, so I called them to come and give me an estimate and assessment of the roof on my current house, which we've lived in for almost 3 years now. It did take a while to set up the appointment (but it's February so no big deal!) I was thrilled with the honest assessment - they said I didn't need a new roof, it should last another 8 - 15 years - just two small repairs. A refreshingly honest assessment - the last person just handed me a quote for 18+K.

Dan was our salesperson and after a great presentation we negotiated a fair deal with Dan and O'Lyn Roofing. John was the production supervisor and Byron was the crew manager. Everything happen just as Dan and John laid out in or conversations. They were on time, and completed the job in 2 days at my Mansfield home. The crew was amazing the way they attacked their job in the time they were at my home.

At my house at 6:45 AM and got to work. I do not have an easy roof, lots of peaks and valleys. They were even able to repair rotted rake boards for me. The new roof looks terrific! And the job site was left as if they were never there, neat, clean and the dumpster was picked up the day after the job was finished. Kudos to the O'Lyn Team!

I spoke with Dan of O'lyn roofing after I had given the company a bad review because of a employee. After speaking with Dan he was able to resolve the negative feelings I had. I could see myself conducting business with them after my concerns were addressed. Their products to me are of good quality. Addressing concerns are essential to a company and this was done.

I had a great experience with O'Lyn Roofing. They were punctual for their appointments - one for the estimate and one for the actual work being done. Their crew was completely professional, respectful of the neighbors and occupants of the house, they cleaned up (as promised) and the work was done in one day, as scheduled. My work included a completely brand new roof. and it looks great!

It was very easy to deal with O'Lyn. Their office staff was helpful and polite. Calls were returned in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again as well as recommend them to anyone I know.

O'LYN Roofing recently put a new roof on my home. I got every amenity you could ask for, & option that was was available (Believe me, there's a lot more than you think. These guys do it all). I couldn't be happier. My home looks absolutely amazing, the clean up was an 11, it's like nobody was ever on my property. I just can't thank O'LYN enough, or say enough about this company.

I was also skeptical about O'Lyn, given their low ratings, but thought I'd give them a try, since I'd seen their signs everywhere and in order to have a basis of comparison. My sales rep, Scott Woolf, was not only personable, but he was also the most knowledgeable person on the subject of roofing that I have ever met (he's been in the business 37 years).

They are definitely not the cheapest, but they seem to be the only company that offers a warranty like this, and that was worth it to me. Plus they are very neat and quick. I have had so many bad experiences with contractors in the past, and it was refreshing to have such peace of mind.

I can see why these guys have just one star! Foolishly, I had these guys repair a roof for me last year. They were promptly paid and I swear that the roof leaked before the check cleared! Repeated calls to their office got me nowhere. They were always too busy or too uninterested to come back to fix their shoddy work. That's the thing about shoddy roofers.do you really want them "fixing" the problem?

I just wanted a roof that didn't leak! After several weeks of getting the runaround by these sheisters (and rainy season on the way), I had to have a reputable roofing company complete the job. They told me it wasn't the first time they'd had to clean up an "O'Lyn signature series" job. If I only knew then what I know now.

I called and made an appointment for a free estimate which was scheduled for 3 weeks (after the day of my phone call). A bad rainstorm had previously leaked thru the side of the house and into our stairwells and bathroom. The appointment was scheduled from 12-2 on a Monday. He showed up close to 2 and was in and out of my home in 3 minutes. He only looked at the downstairs stairwell and never made his way up to the next level.

If that wasn't bad enough, once outside, he never even climbed a ladder to assess the damage on the roof. Then he just left. I called the office to express my concern. Got a return call the next day stating he wasn't interested in doing the job. No other explanation. I wasted 3 weeks waiting on this chump when I could have had a real professional come out and complete the work. I will never contact this company for anything again.
