Report
Aabco Roofing offers and installs a wide variety of the ever changing sidings and trim available today Though vinyl, aluminum and cedar are still quite usual, cement fiber (as seen below) and synthetics account for the majority of our projects now. Their expectional appearance and life expectancy mixed with maitenance free composition and finish make them an extremely attractive alternative.

Unlicensed and unethical roofing contractor. Hired unlicensed and inexperienced workers to reroof my home. Terrible job with many leaks. Save yourself aggravation and money. Business address is a P.O. Box. 12/18. Aabco's insurance companies, CNA and Nationwide inspected the roof job and reimbursed me the entire cost of the job plus damages from the leaks. Always check with state of Illinois for a valid license. Aabco does not have one.

Has anyone worked with this company recently or have any updated contact information for them? Are they still in business? They replaced the roof on our home 3 years ago. Many of the photos they include on Yelp are of our home. There is a leak in the roof. We have made numerous attempts to contact them leaving multiple messages for a week with no response.

The process started pleasantly enough. I've never had roof work before, so have no basis for comparison. I had 5 estimates prior to selecting this roofer. They were the only ones to come back with requested references in the area, all of which I checked out. The feedback from the previous customers was favorable. Seemed like enough and I wrote a check for half of what I was led to believe would be the total.
A day was selected a couple of weeks out to complete the job. Tear off and replace shingles and gutters. I was clearly told it was a "one day job". It was not. I was told they were missing 2 workers they day of the job and it would take longer. There was rain in the forecast the next day and was told they would not work. It did not rain and I later found out they did work, just not on my roof.
Now it's 3 days, 4 if you count the dumpster left in the driveway until the next afternoon and the debris I picked up. The quality of the work seems pretty good. When the salesman came back to get the second half of payment, he was looking for nearly and additional $1000 for added work that I was never told about. Seems the gutter sub contractor took it upon himself to redo some down spouts and not mention it, yet it was added it to the bill. An additional 10" hole was added for the exterior of mounting of a Sun Tunnel, of which I completed. 2 sky lights were added but were only mounted to the outside of the roof.
I knew we would need interior work, but the drywaller that came said the sky lights should have at least been framed from the outside. Bob Pickering loudly argued in my home that he was owed the additional money for the added work. I disagreed. The initial estimate was about in the middle of cost range, but with the additional amount then added would have made it the most expensive. If you consider this company be very clear about what will be done, what is expected, and what the actual cost will be.

This review is a little late. We had our entire home exterior renovated by Aabco in September 2018. The entire roof siding fascia soffit gutters and downspouts were all removed and replaced. Bob went over all our option with us so thoroughly and we eventually chose the James Hardie cement siding and Tamko arch. shingle. We are so happy with how everything turned out. Bob and all the workman couldn't have been more helpful and courteous.
This was our first large scale project like this and needed the right person to guide us through. Aabco start to finish was amazing. Bob's recommendations we very helpful and he made sure every detail was attended to and completed. Our house looks wonderful and completely transformed into a brand new looking home. I took before and after pictures and you wouldn't know it was the same house. Thank you again for all your hard and excellent work.

Had our house total resided with Cement-fiber siding with new aluminum fascia, soffit, gutters and downspouts and installed a new architectural shingle roof. Aabco did an incredible job start to finish. They supplied all the necessary permits, insurance and references. Just look at the pictures? These guys are total pros. Several neighbors have stopped by admiring the work. PS - the review that says this company is unlicensed and unethical is nothing short of absurd. I was recommend to them by and friend and I would recommend them to anyone and already have.

Completed a complete exterior renovation of our home. New roof, new James Hardie cement siding, new fascia, soffit, gutters and downspouts. We could not be happier. It looks like a whole new house. The owner and crew could not have been better. Very knowledgeable and kept us informed through the project. Their workman do beautiful work down to the smallest detail. They have our highest recommendation. Fantastic job.
