McKay Vassaur Total Construction

My husband and I recently purchased a home built by McKay Vassaur Custom Builders and couldn't be happier. The home has many thoughtful design choices as well as items built for functionality, which we really appreciate. Jeff Vassaur was a pleasure to work with from the first day we met him. He gave us the option to make some changes even though the house was fully planned out and almost complete.

We really appreciated that and felt like that showed that Jeff truly cares about not only the houses he builds but also the families that will live in those houses. All in all, the entire experience was a breeze and enjoyable and I am confident that any future home buyer will have the same experience that we did.

Jeff is a great customer and partner. As a vendor. We have had only great interactions and we have always been paid quickly for our services. That respect certainly carries over to the details for their customers.

Jeff worked with us on a remodel late 2015. We had a wall installed (with french doors) and 1000 square feet of hard wood flooring. The wall looks great and it is hard to tell that it wasn't apart of the original floor plan. The flooring looks beautiful and we have received many compliments.
Jeff was patient through our many flooring plan changes.

He was also very experienced with designs/trends and talked through ideas we had before before any money was spent. I would recommend using McKay Vassaur for remodeling work.

Excellent work from professional operation! We had used McKay Vassaur to repair and replace a leaking roof. They completed great work on time and under budget. We were impressed with the amount of care and time they spent to ensure everything was clean and safe for our family when the work was completed. The projects completed include a patio addition, porch addition and a sidewalk running the length of our house and connecting to the back patio. If you have a desire for more downstairs closet space in the Meritage Nelson or Armstrong floor plans, there is hope. There is a similar plan in phase II, but I'm not sure of the name. It's the plan similar to the old Meritage model home with the courtyard. There is at least 27 square feet of dead space under the stairs that I and at least two other home owners have turned into a nice closet.

It's a great place for coats and anything else you want/need to store. I chose McKay Vassaur Total Construction to do the job. Jeff Vassaur formerly worked for Meritage Homes and he is his crew did a fantastic job. I have never had a construction project go so well. I recommend them for ANY home project. Thank you for doing a great job on our covered patio project. Your professionalism from the start was appreciated and your honesty and forthrightness were refreshing. We are thrilled with the finished product; it looks like it was part of the house from the beginning. Thank you too for the way you handled the hiccups that occurred during the project.

When one footer got poured in the wrong location you said you'd make it right and you did. When the gutter downspouts appeared where they weren't supposed to be you took care of that too. Looking good and being a man of your word is easy when a project goes perfectly. Its when things don't go according to plan (which seems to happen a lot in life and construction!) that you see the true character come through.

Yours came through shining and intact-that is a real blessing to us. I won't hesitate to have you bid on future projects and have already recommended you to several friends who have seen the before and after first hand and are as impressed as we are.

When I came home today, the guys had just finished the wainscoting and painting I LOVE IT! It's absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted even better than I envisioned.
