A cedar shingle roof or slate roof brings the best of nature to protect your home beautifully. Copper and metal add a touch of long-lasting elegance. CRS has more than a dozen years of experience installing and repairing these and other specialty roofs, having mastered the skills and techniques each type requires.
When you have a specialty roof that's damaged, sometimes it's hard to get the insurance company to recognize the full value of the roof. You've consistently paid your premiums, but when you need the insurance you've paid for, the insurance company asks you to accept less than what it costs to replace it.
CRS brings its artisan skills to every job it completes as a residential or commercial roofing contractor. We've served as a roof restoration contractor for historical buildings in Ohio and beyond. We've got the skills and knowledge to restore even the most ornate roofs, as well as years of experience performing more typical new roof installations.

Roofing Artisans, owned by Brian Calamita, replaced the rear section of my roof beginning on June 22, 2022. Brian and his splendid crew did the work in two days, the third day for a last clean up. Brian also arranged to have all of the waste material neatly taken away. My yard and driveway were left completely clean. I have known Brian for over 20 years and he has done two roofing jobs for me before. Brian is a man of high integrity and values, knows his craft and business, and is a wonderful person, friendly and caring. I highly recommend Brian and Roofing Artisans!! They did a beautiful job!

CRS Roofing was exceptionally professional. Our home has an original cedar shingle roof from 1923. Prior to CRS, a deck company was used to apply the sealant. Instead of a cedar sealant, the deck company used deck paint. Brian and his crew spent hours washing and scrubbing off the paint so that the proper sealant could be applied. Essentially, they rehabbed our roof. Brian clearly explained the importance of maintaining the cedar shingle, as well as the process. We couldn't be happier with the end result and won't call anyone else when it is time to reseal again.

We have a 1928 three-story Tudor with a very steep roof. During a strong storm with heavy winds, we found a steady stream of water falling through our second floor bedroom ceiling. Fortunately we knew Brian as a neighbor and of his specialty in complex, historic roofs. He came the next morning and tracked down the source, behind the wall under our third floor dormer.

Apparently our last roofers had ignored the dormer when installing a new roof. The old wood underneath was so rotted the wind was driving rain through several openings that Brian found. He and his team worked nonstop to rebuild our dormer before the next storm. They were perched 30 feet off the ground, doing difficult meticulous work. We were so impressed with the result - new construction you can't tell from the original architecture - we had them rebuild our other two dormers as well. Brian is terrific to work with and we'd recommend him to any homeowner with a challenging or perplexing roof problem. -Dave and Evelyn G.

When the work was first done. Finishing in Sept 2020, his work seemed to be fine other than a back porch roof that was not installed correctly and water leaked into the back wall of the kitchen and den. Mr. Calsmita tried to fix it but didnt work and we had to have someone else fo thr repair.thus will ter the hitters were all leaking behind the fascia boards, thr shingles do not extend into the gutters properly, the chimneys are not flashed correctly and the entire garage roof leaks. Needless to say, it was not a good job

I am very pleased with the job CRS Roofing did on my tile roof. My neighbor had his roof done with them and I asked them for an estimate on my roof, about a week later they started and about a week after that they were done, I couldn't be happier with the result.

"I can wholeheartedly recommend Brian Calamita and his team at CRS roofing. When we needed the work done on our roof and gutters, I received several quotes, and while Brian was not the lowest (he was close), but he more than made up for it in customer service. CRS ended up replacing all our gutters and down spouts, roof valleys, "snowbirds," a copper roof over a side entryway, a flat roof and railing and re-built our furnace chimney. The work was done on time, on budget and safely - overall a job well done."

These people made an impossible work to an extraordinary finish. We hired couple of contractors and they gave us the estimate that looked very unreal. All I can say that CRS people are very honest and finished the work in the given time. The brick work was done in a very professional manner and the roof looks real art of work. I highly recommend these people. Thanks Brian you are such an honest person and friendly.

Brian from CRS Roofing did a fabulous job! First he discovered that the three previous roofers had only piled a new roof on top of the old leaking one. This meant he had to remove and haul away literally tons of debris. He emailed us pictures along the way until he finally got to the original roof. These pictures were amazing to see. We admired his integrity and hard work to do the job right!

Because of so much extra work and time required to clear off old roofs, the workers were not finished by Friday as planned. The weather report indicated that there would be rain on Sunday night. So Brian and his team worked all day Saturday and part of Sunday to make sure they were done before the heavy, pelting rain came Sunday. The finished product looks great! We are grateful and appreciative to meet someone with such a strong work ethic.
