Alert Construction

As a Realtor, I have asked Alert Construction to provide quotes for homes I am listing. They are quick to get to the home and provide a thorough quote in writing. Julie, the office manager, is amazing! She responds quickly and is always available to answer my questions. I have even used them at my personal home. I highly recommend!

It is tough to find contractors who will DO what they say they will do! Alert has always come through for me, and I have sent them some challenges along the way. They are always my first choice for a punch out list of repairs, or when I need estimates on a variety of jobs. They really are full service. Need a pool repaired? They can do that. They did for me. Need a basement sealed? They are doing one right now for a client of mine. Need your HVAC worked on? Truly excellent service and quick turnaround!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Alert took over 6 months to complete a small scale renovation for a condo and doubled their estimated cost. The owner Ed Regensburg is a horrible, rude & disgusting man who lies and acts like he is doing you a favor for a paid job. Do NOT use unless you want shoddy, delayed work with a horrible attitude to go along with horrible workmanship!

I call Alert for everything. I really do. For years, they've always come through for me and my clients. He cares about doing things well and according to the rules. Knows his stuff. Great job!

Never paid invoice. BEEN YEARS NOW JUST WANTED TO LEAVE A REVIEW SINCE THEIR COMPANY SHOWED UP it wasn't even that much either that should show you. smh

I was referred to Alert Construction by a fellow REALTOR in the area and hired them to do a job for a Seller in GSO Aug. 2018. Alert completed the job and I quickly added them to my list to refer other jobs to! I even had Ed come out to my personal home to prepare an estimate for a rebuild of a screened in porch/catio on 8/16/18 and was told I would get an estimate asap!

It is now almost 3 weeks later (9/5/18) and I have still yet to receive even an estimate! :/ I've followed up with them 1x per week since the evaluation and did initially receive an email from Ed saying it was his fault for the delay and apologizing and saying he was still working on it. 2 weeks later. they're now not even responding to my messages and still nothing.

It really seems to be hit or miss with this GC. There's a 50/50 chance the job will get done and in this business that's just not good enough to rely on. Needless to say I will be removing Alert Construction from my providers and will be seeking other contractors to complete the numerous jobs on my own residence and those of my clients.

I CAN NOT EVEN GIVE THIS ONE STAR! This is the WORST rental company EVER! Please avoid at all costs. They do not fix any issues that you have with your home, they will increase your rent drastically and all they provide is excuses! They switch receptionist every other month so no one in the office knows what they are doing and Julie the other receptionist that hides in the corner is the WORST! RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!

The attitude that she gives to the customers is far from ignorant and disrespectful! Ed the owner wont even be man enough to have face to face conversations and they use their front desk to take the brunt of the hits. The people they send out to repair are NOT to be trusted and they will enter your house without permission to snoop! Hide all of your belongings because they are very suspect and CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING FROM THE COMPANY AT ALL, ALL YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IS A HARD TIME! They just sold a house to someone and they did not bother to clean it like it should have been and the last family that lived there had begbugs, flies, roaches and rats! I feel bad for the new homeowners because they have no idea and now they are stuck with this nasty issue! RUN, RUN, RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE SCUMLORDS TRYING TO GET A QUICK BUCK! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

SLOPPY WORKMANSHIP! The WORST I have ever seen. Very AMATEUR! Please BEWARE! The crew wont take ownership of doing bad work. They just make up the silliest excuses. The owner, Ed Regensburg, is a VERY NASTY man to deal with. Make note that his other companies, Property Administrators and We Rent Today, are under the same roof. Look up reviews for those companies too and you will see just how much of a BAD SEED you are dealing with.

THE WORST EVER! They have LOW STANDARDS! The work from the crew is always crooked, sloppy. Ends up looking very CRUDE and AMATEUR. Their customer service is BAD! They seem o.k. at first (to sort of "hook" you in), but once you get them under contract, the honeymoon is over. I have hired many other contracting companies over the years with little to no problem, but this company is TERRIBLE.

Did work without permits. Quality of work is beyond industry standards. The owner is difficult to reason with. Referring to me as a pain in the A**

I have used Alert Construction & Energy several times for both work done for my personal property, as well as work for my Buyer clients. Ed and his team are efficient, thorough, and have even helped me after-hours when I locked myself out of my own house! Ed cares about making a real estate transaction work out fairly and justly for all parties involved, with the client being the one to benefit overall, in the end. I highly recommend Alert!

Avoid at all costs! This company could not have done a worse job. The job that should have taken a month max took 3 months. Everything from the trim work to the plastering looks amateur. One of them must have cut themselves because there was a smear of blood left on the wall! I finally had to threaten to fire them to get the job finished.

Scheduled an appointment to have drywall repair. Technician never showed up and when I called to find out what was going on, receptionist(who I originally scheduled appointment with), told me I wasn't in the calender and she didn't know what happened. Her only suggestion to accommodate us was to reschedule 2 weeks from now. Very unprofessional and a complete waste of my time and day!

Also, one of the guys working on our house apparently cut himself and left a smear of blood on my wall! Totally disgusting.

One of most disappointing companies I have ever dealt with. Let me start off by saying that my rating and review are not based on their work because we never actually got to that point. After having to call 3 times just to get someone to call me back to get me scheduled for a quote you would have thought I would've known better. However, I continued with them because they did get good reviews. Finally, they sent a guy to my house and I explained what I wanted done.

He acted like he hadn't a clue what I was talking about. I had to explain it several different ways before he finally got it. He took measurements and told me he would talk to his boss and I would get a quote in about a week. Now I did give 2 different options and I knew that my quotes would be between 3k and 30k so I expected it to take a week.

I waited for two weeks with no response before I called in. After the third call I finally got someone to pick up, she told me that no one could talk to me at the time and she took my name and number and said she would have someone in management call me within 24 hours. It's now been over a month and still nothing. Will I ever do business with this company? NO Will I recommend this company? Never Is there any thing this company can do to make it up? Yeah, move out of the area or shut down. I don't have time for sorriness and neither should you.

I have used Alert Construction for repair in the past and have been happy with the service and price. Recently had a water issue that I asked Ed to come look at. He offered me a solution, but also gave me a less expensive alternative that I could do on my own. Thanks Ed for being honest and saving me money.

Alert Construction has done several jobs for us over the years. Our relationship started out with a hot water heater replacement, then moved to a small punch list of items we needed taken care of to sell a house to a complete roof replacement. Then a major chimney repair and even a sunroom addition to our home. Alert Construction has all the professional expertiese they need to get just about any job done. They have done an excellent job every time we call. That's why I keep calling Alert Construction!

As a Realtor, Alert has truly saved the day on some deals. They are quick to obtain estimates, they have friendly staff, and fair pricing TOO! I recently had an electrician bail on a repair at the last minute. Alert came in and did the job within days and kept us from more delays on closing. They had the invoice ready for the settlement statement soon there after.

They are great because they are qualified to do all repairs versus having to shop each out. I would recommend them to Realtors, Home buyers & sellers, and especially landlords. Its hard to get great service at fair prices but at ALERT that's just standard business for them.

Alert Construction has done many projects at my home over the years (repairs and painting). They arrive when they say they will and are very tidy. They do a great job!

Alert fixed our roof and the water stains on the inside. They did a perfect job you cant tell there was water stains. Later we had them replace our outside faucets which where 12 years old very very happy they are our number one home repair.

I recently purchased a home that required numerous renovations. As mentioned in the previous review, Alert will get in contact with you. However, this is where the professionalism ends. Every room in my house needed to be painted. My family and I removed the popcorn ceiling that was present at the time of purchase. A natural consequence is dust and some particles on the walls. Alert's painters simply sprayed over these particles, leaving a finish that is uneven and an eyesore.

They also failed to remove the wallpaper from some of the rooms and simply painted over it. Numerous dripS, runs, and brush marks were left behind on those surfaces. In addition, the painters mixed up the paint colors for my rooms. There were only two colors. This was, however, corrected. Finally, Alert contracts all flooring with Totally Floored.

It took months for the flooring to be completed! Then, they failed to add the correct/matching trim in one of the rooms. IN SUMMATION, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HIRE A COMPANY TO COMPLETE TASKS IN A TIMELY, ACCURATE MANNER (WITHOUT HAVING TO CONSTANTLY CALL THEM TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES).THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY FOR YOU.

First and foremost, Smart Care Exteriors far exceeded the work I needed to replace my roof. The owner was professional and worked with me culminating my needs, price, type of roof, along with choosing color to define my roof. I interviewed over 4 roofing companies and found Smart Care Exteriors to be most experienced in their field and far exceed the others. Terry (owner) took the time making suggestions and giving me options.

Not only did the owner replace my roof, but he had to realign a portion of my roof with new plywood and beams. I highly recommend his team and Terry's expertise to meet anybody's needs.

Everyone was great; clean up was done as explained daily; crew very friendly....great team.
