This company was recommended by two neighbors who used them a few years ago. We called in 2022 and were very happy with their professionalism and service. They walked us through the entire process. Showed up on time, got everything done in the time frame allotted and we're all pleasant people to work with. Start to finish it was 6 mos but that was because of the insurance company.

My experience with City Roofing was very positive. The workers were courteous and polite. They arrived early and worked so very hard throughout a long day. The final product looks amazing. City Roofing and Remodeling This was my first experience replacing a roof here in Florida. We along with several of our neighbors had our roofs inspected for damages caused by a storm coming through our neighborhood. The inspection findings identified that we had significant damage. We submitted the claim to our insurance company identifying the problems was caused by wind and hail, our insurance company changed the claim to damaged was a result of a hurricane which would be a much higher deductible.

City Roofing helped us dealing with the insurance company to correctly identify that the damage was caused by wind and hail and not a hurricane this reclassification saving us a considerable amount of out-of-pocket dollars. City Roofing kept us informed every step of the way and did a great job replacing the roof on time and with no mess or clean up issues.

They also identified that a solar light was damaged and replaced in the process. They did a great job from start to finish, I would highly recommend City Roofing and Remodeling to anyone needing comprehensive roofing services.

I am very happy with the service of City Roofing. The initial inspection was thorough and they worked with my insurance to company to come up with the overall needs and pricing. I worked with Alexa from the office and she kept me informed all along the way. They were on time and did an excellent job. I will recommend to family, friends and neighbors.

City Roofing was amazing. They let me know every step of the process and gave my lots of choices for my roof. They explained the process of the different shingles and the thickness of the nail strip so I would understand it. The job was completed professionally and on time. Damage occurred 11/27, 11/28 and 29th of November 2020 when demolition crews without applying or obtaining permit removed roofing above two occupied garage units. No notice of work was given to occupant prior to commencement of work, Both units are completely dusted out with hazardous Lead paint, possible asbestos based roofing adhesive, nails and other building materials.

Paint has tested positive for lead. The Jacksonville building department was notified, inspected on 2/1/21.and a Violation citation was issued on 2/9/21 and paid 2/11/21; R21-380025 RETURN FOR CORRECTIONS but had never been responed to and was canceled. The unuthorized and lack of following the proceedures for lead or asbestos testing which is required by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency were ignored, in addition it also rained that Thanksgiving weekend and further destroyed more contents, extent of additional water damage and most likely mold can not be assessed until proper abatement procedures are followed.

I have sent letters of Demand to City Building and remodeling Contractors to obtain proof of General liability insurance carrier as to file a claim with said liability insurance carrier to have the remediation / abatement work done and assessment of ongoing water and mold damages. 11 months ongoing.

City Roofing did great work for us the first time with our pitched roof replacement. They worked well with the public adjuster while we waited over a year for the insurance claim to reach a settlement for our flat roof project. Unfortunately, when it came time to schedule the replacement of the flat roof, our representative who had previously been quick to text and call suddenly ghosted and became entirely unresponsive.

I texted, called, emailed and left voicemails for every number i could find for the company with no luck, even as a previous / existing customer. After finally consulting a second roofing company, it became evident that they had underbid the job by about $3k per outdated code requirements, so I can only assume this to be the reason for the mysterious exit.

It's too bad. They did a great job on our first project. Edit: In response to the company's reply, while I absolutely understand that codes change and that bids need to be adjusted, I'm not sure why I got no response from any of the numbers or emails I had until 1.) I had a friend text from a different number and he got an immediate response and 2.) months later when the project was completed by another company and I gave City Roofing a 1 star review.

Then I got an *immediate* reply. My review above was (I thought) pretty clear. The poor review was entirely addressed at being ignored by the company after we received our insurance payout; we never had a chance to know that it would cost more because nobody would answer or respond to phone calls on three different numbers, or to our emails. We heard nothing back from our account manager (we're choosing to not name him here publicly) after March 3rd until I left the bad review - he was *not* in touch with us. As I told him over text on June 2nd, I am more than willing to speak with you face to face, but this response is beyond disappointing from an otherwise good company.

Excellent! More than 5 stars they are off the chart! It is not often anymore that you end up with a company that does exactly what it says it will do from start to finish. Rick Hyman who is the owner and president and his associate exceed any expectations you may have in replacing your roof. There are many companies to choose from and by far these gentlemen went beyond the norm.

They handled the Insurance, with excellent follow through with the insurance company to scheduling and once everything was in order, they executed with precision in two days once materials were delivered and began the work. The crew cleaned up everything after each day and when the job was done could not tell that they were there, except for the new roof.

I would highly recommend them if you are looking to replace your roof, or for that matter any roofing needs that you may have that need attention call them and see for yourself. The owner Rick is very personable and accommodating and along with his associate they are very well organized in handling everything along with their team in the field, and the office team. Exceptional service and performance. So, if you are shopping around make sure you don't miss getting in touch with them and experience the difference in dealing with not with just a good company, but a great company! City Roofing was doing another roof in my neighborhood and came to my house to offer a free inspection for wind damage that happened. They inspected my roof and found that I did have some significant wind damage and thought I could get a insurance claim for a new roof. My insurance company initially did not want to grant the claim for the whole roof. Rick came out and marked up the roof and took pictures for me to send again to my insurance company which after that they granted the claim in full after a different adjuster looked at it.

My only complaint would be I did not get a phone call about when the crew was going to be coming to do the roof. But my roof was done in a day and a half and looks great and no issues so far.

Absolutely unprofessional. We originally schedule Monday for my roof repair. The guy never showed up. When I contacted him again on Wednesday, he told me that he forgot about it and he will send someone else because this job is too small for him. And turns out the new guy never showed up either. Now he has blocked all contact attempts from me. I can not reach him by phone at all.

I am left with an unattended roof with no one to seek help from. Please don't give you business to them. Edit: These guys either keep really really bad records, or they have someone working behind their back. Attached are my phone records and text exchanges with them, clearly showing their correct phone numbers, I have left four voice messages in a week, and so many texts.

They just don't give a care. 2nd Edit: I apologize for wanting their business in the first place. Because "there are fifty other roofing companies in the area, why do you even want us." (direct quote on phone). Also, "we don't do repair". I guess this attached picture that is a screen shot from their website is just for looks. Once again, I apologize for thinking that City Roofing does repairs. Guys, they dont.

I can't tell you how awesome it was working with City Roofing!!! Customer service is first and foremost #1... and the quality of the work was outstanding. They took the extra time to clean up after the job, not a single stray roofing nail left behind (I was actually worried about this). Very professional... give Rick a call & he will take care of the rest!
