This is the second time we have used RA Construction. The first time was a roof removal and repair along with installing new skylights. We found their work to be of the highest quality, they stayed with job until it was completed, the crew was friendly and professional and they were always on time and did a great job with the cleanup. The second time was a small job to replace our kitchen exhaust fan pipping.

Even though the job was small they were here when promised, and we got the same quality work and service as we did on our roof replacement. We highly recommend them and we will definitely use them again.

A new neighbor just bought a property next door to us and had a new roof installed by this company. When materials were delivered last Friday night at 5pm in the darkness with guys yelling back and forth to each other over the loud engine noise of the truck powering the conveyor to the roof, we expected the worst. But, by last night the crew had done the tear-off, laid new sheathing, completed the roof, picked up the tarps with the old shingles, loaded up the equipment and left.

We were surprised by how quiet the compressor was, how quickly they completed the job and their persistence working in the cold rain yesterday. If we ever need any of the services they provide, we'll be calling them!

Wow! I thought I'd submitted this review awhile back but better late. Very professional! Paul was the estimator and he was on time, professional, clear and provided all the information I needed. From what I could tell the product is good quality and there seems to be a price level to meet where you're at.

RA did a great job on my roof. They were professional and quick. Removed the old and added the new shingles within 1 day! They cleaned up after themselves well too.

They had the best quote at the time, were very courteous, and did the work fast. I have a ~2000sq ft single story house, so it's all roof. On day one they tore off all the old shingles and started laying new ones. By mid afternoon of day two they had finished the roof and cleaned up all of the debris around the house. My patio ended up looking better than it did before they got there! Definitely recommended.

We had a great experience with Ron and his crew. All hard working respectful guys. They had our roof off & on with new gutters in 3 days, and replaced our old plastic skylight with a beautiful new glass one. Pricing was honest & affordable. Would definitely recommend them.

This group is great! Our condo is in the picture on the ad. We had the roof and siding done and love it. We had a small leak about a year after the install and when I called a team was our within the hour fixing the problem. I would recommend them to anyone who likes good, quality work.

Ron the owners of RA Construction did a wonderful job of roofing our home. His crew is a bunch of really hard working polite guys, and did I mention the clean up was great each day they came. The roof and gutters look great, pasted inspection on the first go around every time. They started on Tues and finished the next Tues, took a little longer than they wanted because the gutter guards I ordered were not in stock to complete the job. Ron is easy to deal with and unlike some contractors takes payment only when the job is completed. OH! and his pricing was the best.

I'm dinging RA 1*, because he forgot our job date. He should be better organized by now. Good stuff: 1) He made up for it, by squeezing us in the very next day. 2) Having estimates for gutter replacement (the particular job), I know his estimate was very reasonable. He gets to feed his family. I get fairly priced gutters. (I have a pet peeve against those miserly consumers who try to cheat business people, just to save a few bucks.

Everyone loses in the end, because of this behavior.) 3) The crew made a very serious attempt to clean up, versus most every other contractor I've worked with, that may do a decent job, but leave a garbage heap in one's yard when they leave. You can accuse me of OCD, because I did spend an hour the next day, cleaning out the corners. 4) I asked for a slightly unorthodox layout of downspouts. He/his crew more than accommodated me. 5) Extruded gutters will outlast the house and me. Assuming RA and I are around between 5-10 years, he will be my first call for a roof estimate.

Ron is an EXCELLENT roofing contractor and a REALLY NICE guy! We have an older home in San Jose that had a wood shingle roof that was way past it's prime. Met with a number of roofers and Ron came in with an excellent price for the same materials being quoted by other roofers. He said his team would be at my house on Wednesday at 7AM. BAM! His team drove up at 7AM on the dot, tore off the old roof, fixed the dry rot problems, installed the radiant barrier plywood and had nearly 1/2 of the new roof shingles on by the end of the day. WOW!

By Friday my roof was done and the new gutters installed. They even went around the house with a blower and rake to clean up every last little piece of debris. The new roof looks great and we're very happy with Ron and his team. We also want to say thanks to Peggy, Ron's wife, who really helped us along the way and couldn't be a nicer person.

My roof was leaking and Ron gave me a very reasonable deal. He was completely involved in the roofing and also ensured that the work was completed on time. We had some unexpected work come up as the roof work started and Ron did not over charge for any of the unexpected work. He is a reasonable man with a reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend him.

Ron has a great reputation, but clearly didn't want my small ($500-700) project. Rather than tell me he didn't want it he just blew me off after 2 calls and 2 emails. Ron should be more honest and respectful to his customers. I can understand if he doesn't want the job but he shouldn't leave me waiting.

They are great. Arrive on time, quality work and just very, very nice. The company performed a number of jobs on my home this past summer. After a rain, I decided I wanted to re-direct some of the water from gutters they installed so I could collect in rain barrels. Ron found a solution and sent a team right away to accommodate my limited availability. The guys arrived on time and prepared. Wish there were more companies and people like these.

I found RA on another review site and had him come out and give us a bid to add gutters to our home. Ron had a great sales presentation, explained everything in detail and made me so comfortable I didn't even get a second or third bid. I had the gutters installed yesterday and his team was exceptionally friendly, came on time and did a great job. Thanks Ron!

Ron has scheduled to come out to our house twice now and has twice completely blown us off. The first was a weekday appointment when I took time off work and waited for 1.5 hours. No call or anything, and when I called he explained was 'stuck' in San Jose. After scheduling again for a weekend morning, I made sure to be up and ready for the appointment.

Once again, Ron didn't show up and didn't bother to call, disrespecting my time for the second time. This is a person who is probably good at what he does, however, has horrible business sense. To disrespect your customers is to cut the hand that feeds you.

I highly recommend R.A. Construction/Ron Andrews to everyone looking to replace a worn-out roof. Ron arrived on time to give me an estimate and went into great detail answering all my questions and concerns. The workmanship and clean up his crew provided, was outstanding. I went with Timberline "Ultra HD", Weathered Wood". If you are looking for a wood-shake look, I suggest checking out this product. I upgraded the sheathing to Radiant Barrier Sheathing; it helps to lower attic temperatures and improves energy efficiency, I can already feel the difference. Thanks Ron!

Ron came to the house, and gave an excellent presentation. So good, that I was afraid to look at the quote. Well he came in with a quote that was 50% cheaper than the highest quote. The following week we had gutters. No issues; no complaints. You won't going wrong using RA construction for your gutters.

We met Ron at the Santa Clara Co. Home Show. We were interested in the gutter guards he had to offer. Ron made an appointment and showed up on time and explained the several products he had to offer. We chose one and had him put them on in the front of the house where the big trees dropped a lot of leaves. We liked them so much we did the remainder of the house. They did a good job. Right before Christmas, our kitchen ceiling was dripping. We weren't sure anyone would even be available over the holidays. Thank goodness Ron answered and came out! He repaired the leak and wrote us an estimate for a new roof, as ours is near the end of its useful life. All this on the day before Christmas, with no complaints! Ron accepts credit cards, all of them, and is very friendly. The ceiling stopped leaking and we will definitely consider his company for replacement of our roof when that time comes. We love nice people!

After checking out several roofers at the home show in San Mateo, I chose Ron Andrews. Boy am I glad I did. Good price and first quality workmanship. I had a gutter problem a year later and he came back the next day and fixed it.

The price for the rain gutters are definitely competitive and the workmanship was pretty good. I preferred to have some of the downspouts in a different area and Ron's team came back about a week later to accommodate my request. It would have been nice if his team explained the placement of the downspouts ahead of time so that it didn't have to get adjusted later, but not too big a deal.

I called and talked to the owner (Ron?) about getting an estimate for new gutters. He took down my information, or so he said. No one showed up for the appt. I called the office and the receptionist asked me to call the owner on his cell. I asked her to do it. I got a call from the receptionist a few minutes later that they had no record of my appt or information.

She then said she would call back to reschedule. No one has called. I have not had this company do any work on my house, but I am hesitant to hire someone after the no show and no call routine. During our conversation he asked me where I heard of them. I told him Yelp. Whoops!

Ron promised the our complete roof replacement within one day. The competing bids said it was impossible. For us, having 2 babies running around, the shorter the disruption the better. His crew started at 7am and by 6pm we had a whole new roof, gutter and 2 suntunnels installed. Everything was cleaned up and the job looks fantastic.

Ron and his team did a great job replacing damaged gutters on my house, and repairing some water-damaged wood over my garage. I would highly recommend using his services. The quality of the work appears to be quite excellent. I also installed a gutter guard on one hard-to-reach second story gutter. I would use Ron and his team again if I had gutter troubles.
