Eastman Roofing & Waterproofing is a family-owned and operated company serving the roofing needs of homeowners and business operators in San Jose and the Silicon Valley since 1979. Jim Eastman grew up in Watsonville, CA and moved to the Santa Clara Valley in the late 1970s. His strong interest in building and carpentry led him to jobs working for various custom builders as a carpenter, and learning all phases of general construction. Later on, he worked in the solar industry, installing and repairing domestic hot water systems, pool systems, and photovoltaic systems.
My specialty is finding creative and effective solutions to solve the most unique roofing needs and problems. I look forward to providing a thorough and professional bid while delivering the proper consumer education and hassle-free experience necessary for 100% customer satisfaction. I manage the office and handle all payments.

We have been using Eastman for years since they first installed our new roof in the early 2000's. They now support minor maintenance issues that develop over time. With this last rain storm, they responded quickly to help identify a leak, complete a temporary repair, and then come back to complete a final repair - at very reasonable rates. Highly recommended!

Had several roofers check and went with Eastman because we were told that a particular area of our roof where shingles and underlayment were lifting and was causing a leak inside our home. So paid 600 to have it repaired. Was told if it leaked they would come out to fix it. But on last big rain the roof leaked a lot in the same area- buckets, towels, etc.
They sent someone different who said the area where they patched was fine, so was probably in another location-which would cost several hundreds more. So they didn't fix problem and didn't offer to help cover costs on the possible real location of leak- even though that's what was the original agreement.

Eastman roofing is Awesome! I noticed all my neighbors were replacing their roofs and called Eastman roofing. He inspected my roof and said, "you don't need a new roof and I bet your neighbors didn't either." Instead of it costing me $40k+ it was a simple $1,100 repair estimate to "tune it up." It needed some shingles replaced and a few additions to fill in where the sun had worn through the shingles. Serviceman showed up and it actually needed less repair than originally thought and they reduced my invoice.
Who does that? I would have had no way of knowing he did less than he expected he would need to do. Eastman Roofing is honest and did a great job! I called Eastman Roofing because they had done another home I owned and the roof is now 24 years old and I know it was done right, it still looks great. (I already referred a couple of neighbors and they are very happy I did.)

I have hired Eastman on 3 occasions to fix damage on my spanish tile roof caused by squirrels. They do a great job everytime. The folks I interacted with are responsive and friendly. They are in demand so it takes a few weeks to schedule an inspection and repair. Services: Roof inspection, Roof repair

Eastman Roofing has just replaced my skylight and did some roofing repairs. They were very thorough on their estimate and excellent support in selection of skylight window coatings. Work was completed quickly and provided photos of progress and completion such that I did not need to go on roof to review. To my surprise a couple of weeks later a quality work inspector from the company came to inspect. Highly recommended.

So happy we called Eastman roofing! Their repairman was able to come out fairly quickly and was very good on communicating his time of arrival. They followed up quickly with an estimate and were able to actually pull in their date when they were able to do the work, which was fantastic. Couldn't recommend them more!
