When I called AGL roof to see about a new roof for my house on the Palos Verdes Peninsula near the Trump National Golf Club, I was very impressed with their professionalism. They were very prompt and brought many different samples for me to look at and I ultimately chose one that they recommended for durability and style. Even though the cost was a bit more, it was certainly worth the extra cost because now I have a warranty that will last a long time.

The crew that came to my house was very courteous and they worked quickly, yet respected the landscaping surrounding my house. Not a single plant or shrub was damaged and there were no stray roofing nails or materials left behind. I highly recommend AGL Roof Co Inc and the owner Steve was very informative and helpful. A totally professional outfit.

Worst customer service after the roof was installed. We called for service over a month and they do not answer to the calls. Once they called back to schedule an appointment, they were no show and no call. Do not use this company. They were harassing my husband to make me change my review. When I did not change, they made false statements and accusations about their services and us. Please read the company's response and see how unprofessional they are.

Steve is great - knowledgeable, experienced, professional and honest. He's helped on 2 roofs with seasoned expertise and integrity. All this, and he'll go the extra mile, even if he's busy.

AGL Roof installed the roof on my home 7 years ago and already there are water leaks. If you are considering going with this company, beware that the warranty for labor expires after 5 years. Also, if you sell your home or purchase it from someone who had their roof installed with AGL, see if you can do a warranty transfer. I recently purchased my home and after the rainstorms this year, called AGL because we had a leak and they are the company that installed the roof for my sellers 7 years ago.

The guys who came to check out the leak were super nice, but Steve concluded that because the previous owners had installed solar panels, the warranty was now void (in addition to it being past the 5 year mark). When my realtor complained to him that he wasn't standing by his work, he came out to my house to take a look, but said his company would still not fix the cricket on my roof where the water leak was happening. In addition to all this, Steve was trashing other roofing companies for their use of drones and was rude to my mom. Just a bad experience all around.

It has been a number of years since Steve and his crew replaced the roof on my house, and even though it has been such a long time, at least 10 years, I still recommend Steve and his crew. I've had many other non roof related projects done on my house and I would not recommend any of them to anyone, and have actually discouraged neighbors from using them. But, Steves professionalism, quality of work, and the fact that he does what he says he's going to do has stuck with me over the years. Anytime someone mentions a roof project, I tell them about AGL Roofing. His crew showed up every day, on time, worked all day, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Thank you again Steve

Had a great experience with Steve from AGL. Steve takes the time to educate you from the beginning so that even if you don't go with him, you can make an informed decision. His crew is diligent and does a great job cleaning up. Very professional and respectful. Jazmine is also great on the administrative side. Very responsive and easy to talk to. I love supporting local businesses and Steve has been in the South Bay for many years. Give them a call!

We used AGL and they were great. Steve gave me his opinion on what roofing materials to use which I appreciate because there is no way I will know this. Other roofers were ready to install whatever I asked but I am stupid about roofs. I liked that he gave his opinion on everything because she has the experience and I do not. He did a real nice job and our roof was heavily damaged by prior shoddy installation. The roof had water and termite damage and needed a lot of new wood. His quote was right in line with others in terms of price. The roof looks great and zero problems.

Steve (owner) was super pushy with massive salesman type energy with an aggressive pitch from the start by trashing what other roofers do wrong, showing examples of poor worksmanship & saying his method is the best. But upon going over which materials, trim, and labor he uses, it's literally the same standard with other roofers that I worked with in the past (I own rental homes and have done multiple roofs & his explanation & final quote of materials were the same as other roofers). His quote was also nearly double what others charge. The only reason I gave 2 stars is that he did give a quote & answer my questions.

If you're looking for an honest and professional roofing contractor, AGL Roof is your company! I recieved at least 5 other bids and half of them used scare tactics such as "I'm surprised your roof didn't leak" or "There are soft spots EVERYWHERE!" Steve was able to stop by to provide an estimate the day I called him for my 20+ year old roof that was in horrible shape.

His extensive experience in the South Bay speaks for itself and we were extremely impressed with his worksmanship on neighboring projects. Steve was patient with my numerous emails and responded immediately. His onsite crew was efficient and professional and didn't hesitate to answer (yes, more) questions from a nosy homeowner like myself. The project was completed in two days and not a single piece of trash was left behind after construction. Thank you, Steve, for my beautiful roof!

Great bunch of guys. They put on my roof 20 years ago and standing the test of time. No leaks no issues. They will be my choice for my next roof.

I spoke with AGL roofing and they are perhaps the fifth roofing company I've spoken to. I'm really sad that they're not servicing the Cypress area as they were the most comprehensive and detail oriented in explaining how they describe the roofing process. If you have gone thru any remodeling projects at home, you know it's always the attention to detail type that get the job done well.

Even though he didn't service my area he was able to give me advice and recommendations which I really appreciated. Awesome knowledge and very patient, helpful. Please consider doing business in cypress! I wouldn't hesitate to use him as your roofer if you're in the South Bay Area.

AGL Roofing did an Excellent job with removal & replacing my roof. The workers arrived on time and left after cleaning up daily. I am a totally satisfied with work and price. Steve and his employees are professional and reliable roofing company. I would recommend them.

I chose AGL Roofing over 6 other bids. Steve's bid was in the middle but after comparing the bids and I felt I was getting the best roof with the most competitive pricing for facia, ship lap and 6x1s. My roof was in pretty bad shape due to a shoddy reroof done over 30 years ago (I actually got on my roof with Steve to see how bad it was). My old roof had Maxitile on it (a fake Spanish tile where the company that produced it is out of business) and I decided to replace it with a GAF reflective shingle. Steve's crew replaced all facia, the entire perimeter of shiplap, multiple boards, rafter tails and repaired termite and dry rot in the peaks.

My roof looks great and is weather tight and I'm just waiting for the next big rain storm to truly test it out. Steve had walked me through the process, provided me with brochures, samples and pages of references, and answered my questions. I contacted a few of Steve's customers and each one said that they were extremely satisfied with AGL roofing and highly recommended Steve.

The bid was very clear and concise. Work began on a Monday and the job was done by early afternoon Wednesday. I would recommend AGL roofing to anyone looking to replace their roof.

Before we could install solar panels, we had to change out our 34-year-old roof. AGL Roofing did a nice job at my brother's house, so I gave owner Steve Shepard a call. He definitely knew what he was talking about, letting me know how it was important to have the posts for the panels installed first (instead of punching through the new roof), talked about the quality of different roofing material, and the importance of a roof fan.

On top of it, he offered the best price! It was supposed to be a three (3) day job. All of the old roof was removed on a Monday, all of the new roof was done by Tuesday. Yes, they finished a day early! Ivan and his crew were efficient and thorough. They even spray painted all of the vents to match the color of the roof! Steve also coordinated nicely with our solar company, making sure we had the right kind of posts installed in a timely manner.

He even had the solar company choose an alternate post for the panels to ensure we wouldn't deal with any leaking. Of course, I'll know in 10 years or so if the roof is reliable over time, but my brother's house looks good and so does our house. My bet is we'll be just fine. I guess I have to give props to my younger sibling. It's not easy to do.

I was getting quotes for a new roof and this company was the easiest to work with. No sales pitch, not extras, no scare tactics. When they contacted me, I was told that I do not need to be home and that the quote would be mailed to me. When I received it it was the lowest that I had found so far. I ran it past my contractor friend and he agreed that it looked good.

When we dropped off the signed agreement they upgraded my roof tiles for free as well. When they came to tear down the roof they were here for maybe 2 hours start to finish (1300sq ft roof). Materials were dropped off in the afternoon, and they came the next day to install the roof. It was done in 2 days! Very reasonable, easy to work with, super clean and they do not work with subcontractors. They are employees. I highly recommend them! My roof is beautiful!

Not that I really care, as I was able to get my skylight replaced AND a quote for a new roof from a competing company. It's interesting that Mr. Steve wanted to talk about fake reviews and post a clip of the conversation, but HE left out the most important and critical part of said conversation (see below). True, I did initially ask for repair quote BUT after he stated he does not do repairs, I followed up to ask for a quote of a NEW roof.

So take it for what it is. I have no reason nor desire to make up reviews - for whom does it benefit. And I'll leave it at that. Steve S. Thanks for inquiring. Steve the owner is one of those rare contractors that educates and teaches prospective clients. Not only did he inform us about the various products that go into a new roof, but also educated us about the contracting business in general and what to watch for, so we don't get taken advantage of. His team does great work, replacing the old-fashioned scalloped front fascia board with a cleaner looking straight fascia.

He also added additional dormer vents. Pricing was reasonable, but more importantly, the roof was done right. Case in point was last winter 2018 with the incredible amount of rain we had, and not a single problem - so glad AGL completed our roof at the right time!

We have used AGL Roofing several times. The work is always done on time and on budget. This is a top-notch company that you will notice right away the high quality of their work.

Just completed my new roof install. Looks great, very impressed with the owner Steve, his installation team and office staff. It's not often that you get what you pay for and that's what you want when putting your trust in a roofing contractor. Steve full explained the materials and installation for my roof on our first meeting. Quality install and crew left my property clean after the install. If you are looking for an honest person that truly looks out for your best interest then you have found it with AGL Roofing My home insurance requested that I explore roof repairs and/or replacement of the roof based on some faulty pictures. I proceeded to get roof estimates across a number of roofing companies. Many of them didn't bother to really evaluate the roof and provided detailed estimates on how to replace my roof. Steve was a breathe of fresh air since he really took the time to evaluate the roof, inspect any gaps, and even call the city department to find out prior information about our roof.

He spent a good hour with me walking through his assessment. His final assessment was that I didn't need to do any work and my roof had a long life ahead. He proceeded to offer advice on how to engage with the insurance company to help with my situation. Having just bought the house, this was a great relief since our funds were already depleted.

We have dealt with our fair share of bad contractors and money hungry people that wanted to earn the buck. It's really hard to find a HONEST person that you can really TRUST.
