Prepare a contract: Upon agreement, a contract will be drawn up for both of us to review, sign and most importantly, understand. Though we were happy with the shingle replacement job, the install crew and time it took to complete, we were disappointed when it came time to pay. The quoted price on the written estimate listed all of the work being done, with check marks in the applicable boxes. Items such as, removal of old shingles, installation of aluminum drip edge, new pipe flashing & covers, etc.
Also listed were (3) bathroom exhaust vents at an additional $125ea. When I was contacted to arrange final payment I was told that these (3) vents at $125ea were on top of the quoted price due to the word "additional" in the description. After explaining my understanding that everything listed was part of the quoted amount and expressing my dissatisfaction at what I felt was intentional deceptiveness on their part, they offered to wave the $300 charge for replacement of some rotted fascia trim board.
I agreed to their offer but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth for what would have otherwise been a great experience. Be wary of their quoted amount because I feel like they ran a little game on me.

Critical: Professionalism A friend of mine has a leak in her roof; my neighbor recommended Seal Rite "mention my name". Well, my friend was told that they're not doing any business at this time. So happy we chose Seal-Rite for our siding and gutters. Top-rate quality and the best value around. Like others, I had multiple bids and the reviews and response from the owner (Scott) sold me. The crew was on time, very clean, and did a beautiful job. Replaced some wood on my bays and weather stripping around the garage, too. They were very respectful of our property and all the trees around our house.
We had a lot of wood in the front of our house and wanted to change up the look. We ended up going with a faux stone and we couldn't be happier with the end result! Kudos to Scott for his responsiveness, professionalism, suggestions, and communication skills. We knew exactly what was going on during the entire process. Brenda is a gem in the office! After having 3 quotes, I decided to have Seal-Rite install my new roof. I am a Real Estate agent in Macomb Township and I have seen many bad roofing jobs. Not with Seal-Rite. They do a great job. We just had a new roof installed by Seal-Rite Roofing & Siding and we could not be happier with the results. Brenda and Scott worked with us to make sure all of our questions were answered and to also provide solutions for the minor repairs that were needed in addition to the new roof installation. Brenda provided great communication between us and their team of professional installers. They were on schedule and finished long before we thought the job would be done. I had an excellent experience with Seal-Rite. I loved that there was not a "sales pitch" I dealt with their manager and not a sales force. They were out to tarp and then replace my roof as well as add insulation to my attic. They were knowledgeable and professional. I am thrilled with my new rood. I was especially impressed with how thorough the crew was on clean up. One of the workers ran the magnetic roller even when we had to move cars during the day. I highly recommend Seal-Rite for your roofing needs. Scott and his team of installers did an excellent job replacing our roof. The sales cycle was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised with the no-hassle sales approach and quick, fair quotation for their services. They also provided a set of references unsolicited (who also gave us excellent references). The installation team was very professional and worked very hard. They did an excellent job on the installation and clean up. Again, I highly recommend their services.
