I had horrible experience with Steve Griffitts. He fixed my roof in 2015. He did 3 jobs: shingle part of the roof, car port roof and a patch in the corner of the rubber part of the roof. That corner part did not leak, but they offered a patch because there was a "soft spot" there. Roof started to leak right after they put the patch. He said it was not his problem, it was a gap between siding and the drippage next to where they put patch.
I said the roof did not leak before the patch, but started right after you worked on it. He put caulk there and it did not leak for 3 years. Now, in August 2018, it started to leak again. He came and said the caulk had worn out, but refused to fix my roof. Also he did not put overhang around the shingle part of the roof. He did not cover the pipe with the shingles correctly and when it rained, water came inside of my house, in utility room.
They fixed car port roof, but left the top part of the wall of the house adjacent to car port uncovered and now I have naked wood on that part of the wall in my house. When it rains, I guess the wood absorbs the water. They also did not put fascia on the front of the house and now when it rains, water comes inside of my house through the window. I put some caulk from the inside in the window. It helped, but not much. Now I have to hire people to fix all these problems. I have pictures if you want to see these.

The worst experience with a contractor I've ever had. You'll have to prod everyone just to get the bare minimum. No one will tell you when anything is going to occur. People just show up whenever they feel like it. They will cut corners so they can hurry on to the next project, then grudgingly fix sloppy workmanship. Prepare to get blown off unless it's time to hand over a check.
You'll have problems show up with your project the same month it's completed. Big on talk, short on results. Notice in the pictures how the siding is warping because it was installed without room for expansion. That side of the house gets the most sun and the heat immediately warped the siding. Most of the window trim was off by a quarter to a half inch.
They either did sloppy caulking or did not caulk where they should have. Siding was installed crooked and wavy by my front door. They were fine with leaving the job this way until I pointed it out and that's where things soured. They fixed the sloppy work that I found, however, I didn't find it all before I mailed in the check. They were so rough with installing the siding around my furnace pipes that the inlet pipe was pulled off the furnace in my basement.
They managed to do this from outside the house. This is just the worst of it. They left nails and cigarette butts everywhere. Still finding them two years later. Still have not been contacted about my warped siding. They insisted there was a 3 year workmanship guarantee. Apparently they do not stand behind their work or honor their guarantee. If you don't have the leverage of payment to get them to fix their work, it's not going to happen.
