We called Dan to inquire about being able to fix our wind damaged roof that had tiles come off. Our roof is only 3 years old and after the company that installed it was giving us the run around we called Dan. He came the same day to repair it. He communicated with us to make sure we knew what to expect, took a picture so we could see the repairs, SAME DAY! We were thrilled and will keep his number for the future.

Dan came to review some winter damage to our roof and explained the situation clearly. We ended up getting a new roof with some design changes to the soffit in order to prevent future problems. Hired Hightops roofing to replace a skylight, and to inspect low spots around the skylight. Dan, (the owner) arrived to do the work, but upon inspection, Dan found that half of the plywood on the roof was rotted due to lack of baffles, and in-proper air circulation. Right there on the spot Dan gave me an estimate for tearing off half my roof down to the rafters, installing baffles, new plywood, water shield, felt and shingles.
He was very professional explaining what caused the problem and the process to fix it the right way. Since I had a hole in my roof Dan said he could get to my job in a week. But to my surprise, Dan managed to get me into the schedule in just a few days! He was able to fast track the permit, supplies, and his workers very efficiently. His crew showed up on time and got right to work. Greg was the site manager and was a pleasure to work with.
He answered all my questions, and throughly explained the process. As the crew was preparing to re-shingle the front part of my roof, they discovered that I had rotted wood there as well. So I made the decision for Dan to tear off the front of my roof down to the rafters and replace all the plywood, add baffles, etc. just like he did on the back of my roof. Dan had to make an emergency run back to the lumber yard to pick up some more plywood for the front of my roof. Unfortunately, dealing with my emergency, Dan mentioned that he was going to be late for another appointment, but he couldn't leave his crew sitting idle waiting for more plywood as my roof was open to the elements. Dan prides himself on being on time, upfront, and professional, and I could see it in his face that he didn't like to tell someone that he was going to be an hour late.
But in his line of work, unexpected problems pop up more times that not, and he hopes that people can be understanding of that. In the end Dan, Greg, and his entire crew at Hightops Roofing, did a wonderful job from top to bottom. Everyone was professional, responsive, attentive to detail, explained everything to me, and they did a great job cleaning up all the debris and garbage. I would highly recommend using Hightops Roofing!

Honestly such a good business. I called Dan to do a roof replacement and he answered me RIGHT away and was so kind! He scheduled me right away and showed up on time and I had no issues and LOVED what he did. Very kind man, kind business, 100% recommend to EVERYONE! He was also very professional. I recommend this kind, amazing, AWESOME business.

First and foremost, it took a while for Dan to accept the request to assess the roof to a home we intended to purchase as part of the inspection which I made clear when booking the appointment. Moving forward, the roof repair would be scheduled for completion prior to our closing in a month either by the sellers or ourselves. Dan confirmed a 10:30am appointment.
It took a lot to coordinate all parties involved to be present at the inspection which I made clear to him: the seller's real estate agent, our agent, the sellers, and us. This morning at 10:35am, my husband called Dan and left a voicemail to find out his ETA. No answer, and no call back. I then called and left a voicemail to find out his ETA at 10:38am, asking to be called back.
At 10:45am, I receive a text from Dan indicating he's running late and had to complete plywood replacement order on a roof being 45 minutes to 1 hour away. I thought to myself, "How does this concern me?" A good way to justify would have been texting an apology, and being held up by another job. I texted back, "Thanks, cancel!" "Very unprofessional." I called the company number on the Google listing to ask if this was normal protocol.
The number linked directly to Dan because when my call was picked up, I asked, "Is this Dan?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Is this normal protocol to be late, but then when you have scheduled an appointment, you indicate being 45 minutes to an hour away? He said no, and that he was tied up. An apology from the get go would have gone a better direction. Not justification via text, but a response with a phone call. (See photo of text).

I had a terrible experience with Dan at High Tops. I was trying to fix a roof leak identified in a home inspection so I could sell my house and had only a few weeks until the closing. Dan came out and took a look and said he would let me know on the quote. After several messages he finally responded with a quote but never responded with availability to make the repair.
Despite several more messages in which I provided more information about the location of the leak and the urgency of fixing the problem so that I could close on the sale, he never responded, not even to say he didn't have availability. Don't bother with this company unless you want added stress in your life!

I had a leaky ceiling when it rained! I was worried I was looking at some major repairs. After two other roofing companies gave me the run around, Dan at high tops answered and was at my house within the hour. He inspected my roof and realized my repair would be basic. He came prepared with material to seal the leak and problem was solved! I appreciate his honesty and not trying to sell me more than I needed! It's been a few weeks of rain and no more leak! Highly recommended.

Dan, owner, performs all estimates. He is highly knowledgeable in roofing and all related issues, having career-long experience in roofing and inspections. He has engineered innovative solutions to roofing design issues, from air-flow and ventilation problems, improper skylight installs and finding and solving the various ways water issues are created. I've dealt with several roofing companies the last few years to deal with various issues that arose with my roof, but in my view, none of them had the integrity demonstrated by High Tops Roofing. Dan completed a comprehensive review of my roof and explained all the issues thoroughly. He was patient in answering all my questions and presented options for fixing or replacing.
His prices were fair and he gave his professional opinion with out pressuring me toward a particular solution. I needed the work done fairly quickly and High Tops also accommodated that need. They delivered everything that was promised in a professional and timely manner. I recommend them highly!

High Tops replaced the whole north side of my roof due to cosmetic mold damage from previous years. They arrived promptly, replaced the plywood, put down roofing paper, and matched the shingles. They were very professional and did a great job. They worked quickly, as well. The whole job was done within hours and they stuck to their quote. I will definitely use them again on any other project.
