Roof Crafters, Inc. installed over 20,000 sq/feet of spray foam roof on our main lodge and our ski patrol building in 1997 and 2000 respectively. The lodge is located at 8260' in elevation exposed to some of the harshest environmental conditions in the Sierra's. After the roof is cleaned and roofing material is removed from roof drains, a thin coat of black primer is applied. We can customize our roof's design to each building. This roof had poor drainage resulting in ponding between the roof drains. Triangular "crickets" are installed first to help direct water toward the drains.
Reflective roof coatings can help prolong the life of existing roofs system (spray foam, asphalt, or single-ply membrane). However, they can not provide a long-term fix to existing leaks. It is important to fix all known leaks with targeted use of spray foam prior to coating a roof system. Elastomeric coatings cost can vary widely depending on the type of quality of the coating.
