My entire experience with E.M. Snow, Inc. from start to finish was beyond exceptional. My first interaction was with the owner, Doug Snow, who arrived on time to check out my house siding project. He sat with me in order to identify my siding needs and preferences and then went outside to scope out my project. Within twenty minutes, Doug was able to address every component of my project and to set expectations.

I concluded at that very moment that E. M. Snow would be a perfect fit! Lauren in the office was knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful, assisting me with my siding contract, electrical permit specifics, and overall project coordination. Will and his three crew members arrived within a few days and exceeded my expectations EVERY DAY! I have had many orojects executed at my home during the past forty years and have never seen four men so highly skilled and so hardworking.

Other than taking the shortest lunch break ever, they worked continuously a minimum of eight hours each day, including Saturdays. Will's communication skills were outstanding. He confirmed details with me throughout the project to ensure my complete satisfaction of every detail. Will even handled an unexpected electrical issue when the trash truck accidentally severed cables to my home. Additionally, Mike came by with regular frequency to check on project status and to ensure my satisfaction. I highly recommend E.M Snow, Inc. without hesitation! Such a delightful experience with an expert crew and helpful office staff! And my house is gorgeous! Thank you all!

Not sure what happened with this company. Family has been using them for years. Job started off on a bad foot, and ended just as bad. We had another company do our windows and he had experience doing roofs and told us the job was done poorly and the flashing was missing. So eventually we are going to need to hire someone else to Fix all the errors.

Oh and after the project, I picked up hundreds and hundreds of nails they never bothered cleaning. That's great for my kids to possibly step on. We have had a lot of work done on our house, by far the worst contractor

EM Snow revived our 30 year old deck with new composite decking, railing's and lattice. It looks better than new. We were so pleased we asked them to do our roof and several windows as well. Profession craftsmen who are meticulous and easy to work with. Highly recommended them. Services: Roof installation, Window installation

Don't use them.came highly recommended, so we went with them despite slightly higher price. What was bad? Let's see: 1. Showed up 3 hours later than was supposed to, so they were rushing to finish after it was already dark. 2. Didn't tarp half the house, so my screens on my windows were ripped and some of the windows were scratched and railings on deck were scuffed.

They did end up replacing the screen and railing, but very frustrating. 3. Two months after the job, a heavy rain storm saw a leak in my gym, which had never happened. They came to look at it, "fixed" it, told me the problem was the flashing, which was apparently not part of the job. Asked them multiple times to come back to take a look, no response, so I did my best to seal. 4.

Now it's been 4 months, lo and behold the same part has leaked through again. Now, I will need to break open the ceiling to make sure there's no mold. Extremely dissatisfied, honestly just go with another company, these guys really could care less.

I had em snow replace my roof, the crew they had unprofessional and left my house looking like a mess. A piece of siding my broken during install and it too almost 4 weeks after to get any kind of response from them. Then I was told they were going to do something different from what they did. Very unprofessional company, Doug the owner being the ring leader. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody

This company is one that you should stay far, far away from. Their contract involved pulling a permit to re-side my house. They didn't until I called to check because the guy working inadvertently messed with the electrical box outside and caused a power outage. I had to call my own electrician to fix it because theirs wasn't available, despite their gaff, for hours later.

The job was a complete disaster from the gate, but I followed through with it because once it had already been started, I needed to have some kind of siding on my house. Fast forward a year later, and I have a hole in the siding. Brand new siding and I have a hole. I emailed the office to see about a warranty, and was told that maybe a kid in the neighborhood hit it with a BB gun. You have to be joking. I own a house and have dealt with a LOT of contractors. Never have I had so unprofessional an experience as this. STAY AWAY.

Unconscionable people with poor craftsmanship. I gave them 30k to do windows, siding, and roof. One small section of the house was incomplete, and they refused to return to finish the job. You be the judge. I am so glad EM Snow has chosen to reply (see below) to this comment publicly because then I can have a conversation they refused to engage in.

The house is both mine and my fathers. If you would agree to speak with him then please reach out and you can explain that he paid for work, which was never additional, but that you did not complete. If he asks, will you finish the job. To be clear, I will post a picture below. The job was a long time ago, but nonetheless, you missed an obscure part of the work.

A warranty would imply the work was actually done in the first place! An honourable company would make things right. Too often contractors stay in business (for 50 years) regardless of quality of craftsmanship. In this case it was blatant disregard, and now disrespect. I am doing my part to say "Buyer Beware". Google showed me how much this post was being viewed.and that is the only way I got an answer from EM Snow.

I hired E.M. Snow to install a new Certainteed Landmark Pro architectural shingle roof on my house and 2 car garage in Somerville MA. My existing roof was approximately 26 years old and was on the verge of needing replacement so we decided to do it sooner rather than later. After receiving several proposals from other contractors I found them to be the best choice for us.

They were a pleasure to deal with and did an outstanding job on the roof. They matched the aluminum rake trim on the back of the house, and I had them do some additional repairs to some damaged siding at the house and I was very happy with all of the work, as they were able to make all of it match what was on the house. They took the time to do it right and cleaned up after themselves, as if they were never there.

I dealt mostly with Dave Foley who sold the job, and Mike their job foreman during the work, and communicated with Lauren from the office before and after the job, and she was terrific in providing me answers to my questions and their warranty information. I trust that the new roof will stands up to mother nature and the test of time, if not I'll be sure to provide updates to this review.

We were very happy with our overall experience with EM Snow for window installation. The team was very responsive to emails and phone calls and the day of installation went very smoothly. We look forward to using them for other home updates in the future. Service: Window installation

EM Snow installed a replacement sliding glass door. Immediately after installation, stains appeared on the molding. When it rains, water leaks inside and runs down into my kitchen. In addition, the weatherstripping in the door has become separated from the rest of the door. I have contacted EM Snow repeatedly via email with photos and videos of the door with water leaking. EM Snow claims that the leak may not be coming from the door. I am extremely dissatisfied and will never do business with EM Snow again.

These guys did a fantastic job putting new windows, siding and gutters on our house. Fair pricing and they went above and beyond. They ended up doing extras like painting our HVAC covers to match the new siding, no additional charge. Also very professional and a pleasure to work with.

I'd give E.M. Snow six stars if I could. The experience I had with them was as good as it gets. From Doug Snow's estimate, to Lauren's great communication to Wilber's talented crew, I could not have asked for more. UPDATE: I had a leak in a window recently that I assumed was due to the new siding. In the middle of the pandemic, Wilber came, saw that the issue was a bad window installed years ago by another company, and fixed the issue. Thank you Thank You!

We had a new rubber roof installed in April. In August it started leaking. We called them up told them the roof they just installed was already leaking. They gave me attitude and said they don't fix leaks anymore. I told them you just installed the roof and you can't come back and fix the leaks that your job created? I finally got them to show up and was told it was the exhaust vent on the side of the building.

We replaced it and the roof still leaked. Another leak started and they showed up but had no idea where the leak was coming from. They told me they would come back with the roofer that installed the roof.never showed up. We then replaced the gutter (another company) because we thought maybe it was getting through the walls its an old building do anything was possible.

After that it still leaked causing damage to the ceilings of the third floor apartment. We finally found the leak which was a direct result from poor quality work and are still waiting for them to show up and fix the leaks. Do not use this company if you want the job done right and want some kind of customer service.

Best service ever. Office staff, estimate gentleman, installation ppl- all perfect. The gutters are incredibly wonderful. they recommended the 6 and we chose the bright white and they look and work great. They were able to schedule super fast and the work was done expertly in a day.

The Best! I purchased a house that needed a new roof and siding. Prior to closing on the house, I meet with Doug and he was very helpful in providing me with pricing, timing and color charts. After the closing, the work began on the house. Roof - The roof took a day and was done with perfection the crew did not leave until the job was done and cleaned up. Siding - The siding began shortly after the roof.

When I was told there would be one guy doing the job, I had concerns about the time to complete the job. OMG, I have to say it was the best experience working with Marty he did an outstanding job! The level of workmanship, the loyalty, the cleanliness, the determination and strength of completing the job was just remarkable. The house came out spectacular. Thank you E.M. Snow.

As a realtor and property manager, I contact/use a LOT of contractors. E.M. Snow is by far the best company I have ever worked with. From the very first phone call, it was the best experience I've ever had. They are super professional, attentive, responsive and personable. And their work is the highest quality. I had them replace windows in my three-family investment property and have now referred them several times to clients/friends who also had great experiences with them. I can't say enough good things about this company and highly recommend them to anyone looking for their services. I honestly can't wait to have to use them for again!

We had a contract to install new windows in our new home. The job was started on Friday. I left work early and made it home around 3pm, and the workers were gone for the day, as their business day ends at 4pm. The window installation in the living room was half done. There was a draft coming in and a storm the following day. There was another storm on Monday, causing the job to finish on Tuesday.

We went a few days with stormy weather and cold temperatures with a hole in the wall between the window and the wall. It would have been a better decision to have left the window alone until the following visit so that we wouldn't go days with a hole in the wall and a cold draft, which we felt as we watched TV. They returned and fixed the issue on Tuesday.

When the job was completed, we noticed pencil marks were left behind, and there was a crack on the wall from the living room installation. To be honest, it looked very sloppy. We would have preferred that the windowsill would be all white, but there was this wood trim that was not there before. I can understand that these things happen during in installation, but according to their office manager Lauren, the contract states that they do not paint, and only install primed trim and are not responsible for stress cracks.

We would have paid extra for these issues to make it look better. The windows look terrific, but the outside work is disappointing. Lauren had also stated that pencil marks can easily be erased and paint should be done after windows are installed. I agree with both comments, however why should the customer be responsible for cleaning up that mess?

The stress crack was caused from the installation, not on us and we will have to pay for the wall repair and then repaint the room. I hope contractors or repair people will just do "the right thing" when many unfortunately do not. At least it was mentioned in the contract what they were and were not responsible for.

I am very pleased and confident to recommend Richard from E.M.Snow who recently did an amazing job siding our home. I was very happy to get the call from Lauren to say that Richard was available for our house. I had watched him complete a neighbor's home three summers ago and I was familiar with his high level of achievement. In addition, I remembered that Richard was patient and kind to all of the neighbors who were watching him work every day.

We were all glad to see him back on our street! I was concerned because we had not chosen the color for the cedar shingles that we wanted. Richard took the time to listen to my concerns and help me think about some choices. He was very thoughtful and considerate right from the very beginning and every day that followed. We finally decided to go with the Natural Clay with red J channel with his encouragement.

He worked diligently to make everything just right and our home has a distinctive look that everyone loves! It was wonderful to have one man on the job who was so talented, organized and meticulous. He always kept our yard neat and safe for the children by carefully storing his tools and materials each day. He took extra care with everything that he did and always kept us informed. He was never too busy for a question! His work ethic was incredible and as others have said, he went so far above and beyond our expectations! Thank you E.M.Snow!

Reasonably priced and very responsive to quote requests (unlike many vendors). Project took longer than expected, which was not a problem. However final quality, attention to detail, and finish work was lacking. Cleanup at the completion of the project was not overly meticulous. I've found numerous siding and flashing fragments as well as over 20 nails.

Field staff were courteous but a number of interactions with administrative staff were unprofessional. People seem to rave about EM, especially in the Waltham area, but they did not live up to my expectations.

EM SNOW is the best! True professionals. Quality work at a fair price and the job done on time. Actually the job was finished early. I wanted to side the house before my daughters graduation party. I gave them a completely unrealistic time frame. They made it happen! So easy to work with. We couldn't be happier with them.

My folks used them and gave them a 5 and referred about 10 people to them including me. I was HAPPY with the work until I had an issue with warranty questions. EM SNOW does good work but the shingles they use have issues and they will tell you to deal with the shingle company who will tell you to pound sand. The shed is 7 years old and in my opinion failing. Again they will side with manufacturer over consumer. But they do good work.

Thanks to everyone at EM Snow for the great work on installing PVC trim, siding and gutters. From estimate, to making decisions, to answering question and to completion the process was excellent. Pricing was competitive and the quality of work top notch. Richard is detail oriented and its clear he takes pride in his work. He wants to make sure that every aspect of the install is perfect and it shows. I highly recommend them for your next siding job.

They attempted to roof over a hole (rotten plywood) in my roof. What a bunch of hacks. Mr. Snow is the salesman and he subs out the job to a crew that is difficult to communicate with as they speak little English. I get the feeling he just cares about the money and not doing a quality job.

Doug Snow, Lauren, Marty, and the entire roofing crew are great to work with. They provide the level of customer service and quality workmanship that is hard to find. We've done a lot of renovation projects on our home. The very best has been the new roof and new siding EM Snow completed early this spring. We're very particular about getting the job done right and the tea from EM Snow excelled throughout the project.

The roofers kept the job site clean and did an excellent job on our numerous roof sections. Marty is a great craftsman. The siding and trim was no easy task on out house. But he made every cut with precision. Lauren is very responsive on all concerns and questions. And Doug Snow personally ensured we were satisfied. I would hire them again and recommend them to family and friends for any roofing or siding project.

Richard from EM Snow did a fantastic job siding our garage. Richard was meticulous, thorough and pleasure to deal with every day. He finished faster than we could have imagined. There were several details that he handled perfectly and we couldn't be happier with how everything came out. This is the 2nd time we've used EM Snow. We sided our house several years ago, but for a variety of reasons, needed to hold off on the garage. From Doug Snow coming out to estimate, to Lauren in the office, to the guys who do the work (Especially Richard), they are so professional and we highly recommend them.

We contacted several siding companies when we had to reside our house. Some returned phone calls within a few days, some never did. Doug Snow came to my house the same day I called him and met with me to discuss any details (color, pricing, timing, etc.). The office staff in Waltham was friendly and very easy to deal with. It sounds like this company has more than one crew that installs the siding.

The two guys that did our house (Rich and Joe) were professional, patient, courteous, and very experienced. Not only does our house look great, I know from watching their degree of experience and professionalism that water will never enter our house. We had an excellent experience with them, and they are an affordable company to choose.

What a disaster! The salesman gives you a smooth sales pitch and then sends over a bunch of unsupervised hacks who don't speak English and make a mess of your property.

As a result of a house fire, my house needed to be resided. The general contractor hired EM Snow for this work. The first interaction I had was with the office staff in trying to select a color. Lauren was very helpful - providing several addresses of houses they had resided. I finally found the color I was looking for. After choosing the color, I met with Doug to discuss trim.

As mentioned in the earlier review, Doug was courteous, professional and offered suggestions to assist with the decision making process. Lastly, their crew was great. They did a wonderful job, they were friendly and always cleaned the work area at the end of the day. I used this company again this past winter to replace some siding due to damage from an ice dam. I would highly recommend this company.
