Mike's Roofing

This review is a long time coming! I will always be a loyal customer of this company! Mike's has done 4 projects now on our house and will be the only roofer we ever use. They have never gouged me on the price, they are quick (the last project took two days, not the three days that were planned for) and extremely neat (they even folded my tarp and put it in my carport and you couldn't even tell there was work done after they left.) They have been honest about the age of my roof and when it will need to be entirely replaced, unlike other companies that have tried to get me to replace the whole thing when it still has 10 years left.

They even went ABOVE AND BEYOND this last time, fixing an entire section of my roof when the insurance would only cover 200 sq. ft. In Tony Quiroga's words, "I couldn't leave you with (the roof) looking like that." They are always on time, always answer my emails and always call me back. There really is no better run company and I thank the guys at Mike's so very much! You will always have my business!

I would highly recommend Mike Roofing to anyone who has to replace his/her roof. They placed before me the best options for a roof replacement and I only had to make a choice. They did the core replacement flawlessly but that was not all. They helped me out with the insurance and made sure that I got the best deal. I am grateful to them for helping me out with the complex process of a roof replacement.

My new roof look amazing and the credit should go to the chaps at Mike Roofing. I am very pleased with the roof and also the level of service. If you have to install a roof, one simply must not look elsewhere.

Long overdue review. I hired them back in February 2020 to install 2 Velux sun tunnels in my roof in order to bring more light into my front entryway. I don't get much natural light in that area of the house and am always trying to find ways to bring in more light. I had done some research on sun tunnels, loved the concept, and decided I preferred them over a skylight for various reasons. Made an appointment with Rob who was a pleasure to work with, so professional, answered all of my questions, and put me at ease re making what I consider to be a fairly big decision.

It took quite a bit of time to decide the locations where we would install the tunnels due to the shape of my roof, obstructions in the attic, trying to figure out the best way to optimize the sunlight. Fast forward and I'm thrilled with our new sun tunnels. Installation was a breeze - took a day and a half, the 2 guys that came (I forget their names) did a fantastic job. Thankfully they made sure to cover every surface so I wouldn't have to deal with the dust.

My entryway feels like a whole new space- bright and inviting, not the dungeon it felt like before. I love that the sun tunnels don't bring added heat into the house in the summer, just a warm light to brighten my space. My husband loves the solar light that turns on in the evenings so he can safely walk down the stairs in the middle of the night without having to turn on hall light. Overall Mikes Roofing did a wonderful job from beginning to end and I'd give them more stars if I could!

Mike's Roofing did a complete tear off and re-roof of our home in Eagle Rock. Everything went great (and it was even during Covid). Communication with Tony was reliable as we ramped up to the project -- there was quite a bit of back-and-forth due to the virus and we have solar panels (our solar company disappeared during the pandemic). The crew was courteous, quiet, and pleasant.

The job went very quickly, two days and they were done. The roof looks great! I'll also mention that Tony gave us a very competitive price. We interviewed half a dozen roof contractors and Mike's came in at half the price of most of them. Half the price! Other roofers sent us sales kids who had been trained at Enterprise and tried to "close the deal" on the spot with exorbitant prices. Tony is a roofing veteran -- part of the Mike's Roofing family I believe -- and he got the job done right. Thanks Mike's Roofing!

The secret to success is simple but not easy: Do what you say you are going to do, do it when you say you are going to do it and do it for what you say you are going to do it for. Mike's did all three. There was the need for some follow up work because a couple of their sub contractors tried to cut corners, but the issues were quickly fixed when identified. Overall, a job well done.

This was the second time I called Mike's roofing to do some repairs at our house. The first time they did such a great job repairing a huge leak under a Spanish tile roof. The installation Rep. Anthony was a great true professional. The team that worked on roof was amazing. Finished up and cleaned up within 8 hours. The second time I used the company was for another bad prior roof job from the previous homeowners out back. Mauricio was great. I wouldn't trust any other company with my home. Thanks guys.

Worst customer service ever. I called to schedule an estimate next week. The woman I spoke to insisted that I need to call her next week to schedule because "I am not the owner to the house yet". I told her that the closing is next Monday and would like to schedule an estimate on Thursday next week. She insisted that I am not the owner so can't make the appointment?!?!

While I have lined up different contractors/repair men to look at the house next Tuesday and Wednesday, I do not understand why this woman is so stubborn with no flexibility on scheduling in advance? Making appointment early is preferred by most business but not this company. It doesn't make any sense to me. The only thing I could guess is while the company might care about their customers, this female rep doesn't care at all.

I had a new roof installed by Mike's Roofing and Building about 4-5 years ago. The price was great! Tony, my estimator, was great to work with and had great customer service. The tear off and installation crew was polite and they did a great job. The installation was about a week, they cleaned up everything up when they were done. I am still very happy with the work especially with all of the recent heavy rains, I have had no problems with the roof.

It also gives me peace of mind to do business with a roofing company that has been in business for over 40 years. NONE of the other companies I had out to give estimates were in business that long and didn't give much of a warranty. Many thanks to Mike, Tony and everyone at Mike's Roofing for a job well done.

What a Nightmare! I had a roof leak and called Mike's Roofing out. They told me they would charge $475.00 to tarp it and that the money will be applied to the repair work when done. They came out and tarped my roof. They were not prepared to stabilize the tarp and had to use round river rock from my house. We get heavy winds at my home. During the winds the river rocks were falling off my roof.

That was really stupid and unprepared. They came out again to secure the tarp with tiles. That helped. I asked for them to come over and give me an estimate for the repair job. I knew they had me by charging $475.00 for just a tarp on my roof. Mauricio came out for about 5 minutes to look at my roof. 2 weeks later I called to see what is happening and he said he and the owner/boss went over it and saw through a satelite image of what i needed without even measuring they sent me an estimate for $7500.00.

He said they have to replace 600 feet of metal tile. I called the manufacturer Decra who makes the tile and they laughed when I told him they want to replace 600 feet of tile. The roof is very durable and the tiles do not need replacing. They said call someone else. I called the owner/boss today and asked how he can price a roof repair without even seeing my roof or even measuring my roof.

He said they do that by satelite. Tony the owner/boss said that is their price. I had referred this company to buyers and sellers and will never ever do that again. They will be losing alot of business from me. I will also let the home protection plan company who also refers them not to do that anymore as well. I am out close to $500.00. They are not reputable but they are rip-offs.

I can't imagine there is a roofer that knows his craft like Mike and his team. I was very happy and impressed with the work they did and at a very fair price.

I can't say enough about the extremely positive experience I had with Mike's Roofing. I found them listed on yelp, and called only to have one of their senior planers out the next morning. This was Howard Messner. We had a very positive conversation about what needed to be done on my roof, and he recomended Owens Corning product line. The crew showed up on time, took 4 days to put the roof on, and each crew member introduced themselves and were very courteous. The crew supervisor, Enrique, showed his knowledge of installation, they did an excellent job. These are fully professional people and can be relied on.

Met them at their booth at the Sherman Oaks Street Fair. The rep came out to give me an estimate on a Saturday. He came out and looked at my roof. Told me he would have an estimate for replacing my roof by the following Monday. It is now 3 weeks later and no estimate! However, I did get my roof replaced for a very good price by one of your local competitors!

I just had my roof done by mikes. I had a really bad experience with the company. They weren't careful with my property. They damage my car and they didn't want to take responsibility for it. I called the owner regarding the damage to my car and he was rude about it. They also left a mess in my back yard nails all over the place and all my plants around my house were damage. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

Was getting estimates for a new roof and a friend recommend we call Mike's. can NOT say enough about this company. We had Tony out for an estimate on a new roof and also to look at the flat roof in our sun room that was sagging, (was told by a few other contractors nothing could be done for the flat roof).They gave us an estimate for both, and were able to jack up the flat roof and put in post to fix it right away.

Right before the new roof was to start we decided that we wanted to add rain gutters. Again they gave us an estimate right away. They gave us a date of when they were going to start the new roof replacement and started exactly on the date. The roofers were punctually on time which is great if you want to get it done right away, bad if you want to sleep in past 7am.

They told us it would be a 3 day job, due to rain it got delayed by a day, but they came out on Saturday to finish the job. On the morning after the rain they couldn't do any roofing, but they did install our rain gutters, so no time was lost. Leslie in the office is a doll always there to answer all our questions and I'm sure at some point we will be having her over for wine on the front lawn so that we can all admire our new roof and gutters.

Will definitely be contacting them again for any other building needs we might have in the future. So go ahead call the other guys get your estimates, then call Mike's Roofing and then hire them!

Mikes roof saved us, they came and fixed our flat roof in one day and thank God because our baby came just a week later. It looks great and no leaks very professional, and the price was very good.

First the meat. Leslie said its $680 to lay down plastic with no guarantee of any kind because its a flat roof. Also, No appointments available today or tomorrow for a repair. So the first time it rains in Los Angeles in over year, i find we have a roof leak. That's a total bummer, so i turn to my trusty yelp app to look for a vendor that can come by and take a look to fix.

I search in Van Nuys since this roof is in Van Nuys. First they leave me on hold for about 1 1/2 but the station they have you on hold with is terrible. My view is that if you are going to have someone on hold, at least give them a "clear" radio station. It's very hard to be on hold with static. But for $680? for plastic? yeah I'd rather take my business else where.

Mike's Roofing replaced the original roof on this residence that was built in 1955. Basically two roofs in 60 years.that is very respectable. There were some minor cosmetic repairs needed recently on their current roof put on some 25+ years ago. They made the repairs and inspected the roof. Everything looks good for at least 10 more years. These guys have been doing this for over 30 years. Use them.they have a proven track record.

Great job on my covered patio! It was a small job so I appreciate the quick response and getting my job scheduled and completed before the heavy winter rains come. It's a pleasure to deal with you guys. You guys are trustworthy and do things right. You have earned my future business. Hopefully not too soon.

Our office had a bit of an electrical problem so we immediately called Mikes Roofing & Building to help us out! I knew they did electric work and they have a very good reputation in the community! The guy they sent out was knowledgeable, clean, and knew immediately what the problem was. They fixed our electrical problem at a very reasonable rate and we are very happy with the work. I would recommend them to my family and friends!
