Mike and Benito are amazing. Great quality, great products and fabulous workmanship. On time, did a great job and cleaned every inch of their work. I do recommend them to all. Hired Columbia Roofing to install a skylight in a very dim stairwell of our Baltimore rowhome. Roger came out to inspect the space, tell us our possibilities, and give us an estimate. We went with an enormous 46'' x 46'' skylight, with solar-powered open/close. AMAZING RESULTS. Roger led our custom project from start to finish, overseeing two other employees.
Great attention to detail. His expertise was crucial in dealing with structural oddities of the 100+ year-old home. He even threw some extra roofing cement on our roof vents while he was up there. What a guy!

A piece of the flashing around our chimney had lifted causing water damage on our ceiling. We called Mike Sr. at Columbia Roofing, and he arranged for someone to come and take care of the issue. Mike had Melissa arrange the scheduling for the job. In addition to fixing the flashing, the guys did a full inspection of our roof, and did spot fixes for anything that could become a potential problem.
They took a lot of pictures of the things they took care of, which we didn't even know were possible problems. We are very satisfied with interaction we had with everyone from Columbia Roofing. Great people!

I needed a new roof and contacted 3 companies that had good reviews on Angie's List. They all seemed to say about the same thing, recommending similar products. I went with Columbia Roofing as I had used them before for a small project and was pleased. For my roof, they were able to match the other competitor who had the lowest price, and they even beat it by $300. Melissa in the office was especially helpful in answering my questions the few times I called before signing the contract.
The day before the project was scheduled, the materials were dropped off; the day they were to do the project, they showed up at the promised time. In one day, they completed the roof, did everything they said they would, and meticulously cleaned up the yard. Just as importantly, the roof looks great! I highly recommend Columbia Roofing. It was a no-hassle project, and the company made good on their promise to install a quality roof in a quick and professional manner.

For the last 25 years as owner of Richstone Homes & Remodeling and previously Cypress Homes of Maryland; I have hired Columbia Roofing has been my "go to" roofing subcontractor for both new roofs, home additions, and roofing repairs. Their management, work and service has always been wonderful and with integrity! When I have referred Columbia to friends and acquaintances, they have always been price competitive as well!

I had a wonderful experience with Columbia Roofing at my previous home in Columbia. They came out to fix a roof leak, and since it was a minor leak, they patched the leak at no charge! I thought - with service like that, I would be a customer for life! So when I had leakage issues and wanted new gutters installed in my current home in Jessup, Columbia Roofing was the first company that I went to! Unfortunately, I did not receive the same, exceptional service that I had first experienced.
I would actually NOT recommend Columbia Roofing AT ALL from now on! Columbia Roofing came out on 1/9/19 for an in home estimate, a month after I called to schedule. I was told that I would receive the estimate by the end of the week. The following week, 1/14, I emailed CR as I did not receive the estimate. The estimate was received on 1/15, and I sent the signed contract with the "down" payment by 1/17.
The estimate was for new seamless gutters with guards, and a new drip edge, which I was told would address the leakage I was experiencing. The work was scheduled for Friday, 2/1. I called on 1/25, 1/29, 1/31, and emailed on 1/30, requesting licensing and insurance information. I finally received the information on 1/31, just days before the work was supposed to be done. 2/1 it snowed, so the work could not be completed; it was rescheduled for 2/2 or 2/4.
No one showed up on 2/2 OR 2/4. I called and emailed and did not receive a response back until 2/5. I was rescheduled (again!) for 2/7. 2/7, CR did come, however they did not install the gutter guards on my new gutters! The CR crew said that another crew was on their way to finish, yet no one showed up. I called and left a message, and emailed. I got an email back on 2/8, saying the "crew had to get materials".
I don't understand that response, as 1. They should have had the materials in the first place, back on 2/1, when the job was first scheduled, and 2. I should have received a preemptive phone call informing me of this. I was also told that the crew would be back on the afternoon of 2/8 to finish, however, once again, they did not show up. 2/9, I emailed and asked if there was someone "higher up" that I could talk to about the level of service I was receiving.
I received a response back on 2/11 that said the work would be completed in the next day or two. The response also ignored my request to talk to someone "higher up". Later in February, we had a big storm with a lot of wind. The wind blew off most of the shingles that were on the edges of my roof, all around the entire perimeter of my roof. Since CR was slow in responding and we were expecting more rain, I contacted another company to come out and reattach/replace the shingles.
The new company came out immediately (2/28) and told me the shingles blew off so easily because when the new gutters, guards, and drip edge were installed, they were installed incorrectly. The gutter guards were pushing all the shingles up, many of the shingles were just sitting on the roof, unattached, plus the new drip edge did not fix the leakage issue I was having in the first place! (I was furious that CR charged me for a new drip edge when that didn't fix the leak issue!) The new company found the leak issue and fixed it for a fraction of the price that I paid CR.
The new company told me that they would not touch the drip edge or gutters/guards because it would void any warranty I had with CR. I called CR to come out and fix the incorrectly installed gutter guards, and CR said they would come out and fix it on 3/4. 3/4 I was told that they couldn't come out because they needed to "get supplies to do the 'repairs'". again. Finally, after first contacting CR in December, by March, the work was done, and hopefully, done correctly.
I sent a very polite email asking the company if there was anything they could do to rectify my negative experience, and I received a response saying that they would give me 6% off. I would definitely NOT recommend this company again. I am very sad that I had recommended this company with glowing reviews in the past. Please - save your wallet, and save yourself the headaches, and go with another company! * This review was not posted immediately after the work was performed, as I first wanted to insure that nothing else would leak / "go wrong".

Your company is currently working at my apartment complex, and I've had nothing but issues with them. Nails are being left behind everywhere, even after they have "cleaned up", and no tarps are being laid down. I have complained four times now to my apartment management, who has relayed my concerns to you, and I've co your company directly, yet these issues are still continuing to affect everyone in our apartment complex.
I definitely wouldn't recommend them because their employees have no regard for the safety of the residents here. Update: After calling, I received a message back from Melissa. Two men were sent out the next day and I watched as they walked around my building "cleaning up", but overheard one of them saying "I'm not really finding anything".
They have not worked on my building since the day I called, yet I found 15 nails just in front of my bedroom window today. I highly recommend your company invest in some magnets, as most large roofing companies use them to clean up nails and other metal fragments.

Please take a moment and read this review. I've lived in Columbia, in the same house, with the same phone number for 51 years. This is my town. When I identify a service that is this reputable, this quick to respond, and this fair, I'm going to let my entire hometown know. I'm a born skeptic, but Columbia Roofing has quelled my anxiety about identifying a company that wants to do a great service at a great price.

Columbia Roofing is a highly reputable and ethical company if you ask people who have hired their services, which is what I did before contacting them. Billy came by, gave me an estimate, found him to be very knowledgeable and he doesn't over sell and will answer any questions you have, explain the various options, and leaves you alone to make a decision in your own time.
The price quoted was very reasonable (I had 3 different estimates). During the actual work you have an experienced supervisor inspecting the work. The roof looks great and I keep looking at it every time I pull up in the driveway.

When our roof needed to be replaced, my wife and I got estimates from more than 20 contractors. We selected Columbia Roofing to install a new roof, gutters, and sliding glass door. They not only gave us a very competitive price, but Mike Jr. answered all of our questions knowledgeably, with competence and patience. He went the extra mile for us, dropping off various samples and meeting with us over the course of a couple of weeks until we were comfortable with our selections.
Their work crew was equally fantastic. They were quick, efficient, and friendly, and took the time to explain the job to us as it progressed. Cleanup was thorough, with barely a nail left behind. The also came back a couple of times to adjust things and complete the job perfectly. Their workmanship is first rate. We highly recommend Columbia Roofing!

Columbia Roofing did an excellent job. A special thank you to George Christopolis, the project supervisor, for his support and guidance, and to Amy and Tracy in the front office. The roofing crew was very professional and polite. When they left, I had a beautiful new roof and a spotless yard. There wasn't a nail or roofing scrap anywhere. I would use Columbia again without hesitation and plan to recommend them to my friends.

They replaced my roof a few years ago. I had asked them to install ridge vents, since the roof did not have any. They agreed to do it. I had the roof inspected today just to see if there were any problems. The inspector informed me that I did, in fact, have ridge vents. However, they were simply nailed to the ridge of the roof, but no holes were cut in the roof to allow for ventilation through the vents. In other words, the ridge vents were a total scam.
