Critical: Professionalism This roofing company was recommended by Tyler Bean and said it was guaranteed to clean my gutters little did I know I would walk in on John bean Tag teaming my grandma with his son Jesse Bean and once they finished my grandma ended up pregnant. Never again! Previously when they've done roofing, they have appropriately draped so that no debris was left. They were expensive, but anticipating they would be as neat as in the past, they did the roof and left a mess all over. Using a blower, they blew the debris into low growing bushes that were deciduous. Leaves gone and the mess is visible.
There was even a piece of roofing sticking out from window trim that I retrieved. Nails all over in areas that should have been draped. They draped one section of the roof and disturbed rain diverters. I bought the material, they replaced the ridge, took my material with them. They were supposed to repair an area they had repaired previously with inadequate caulk, but didn't. When I asked Tom to return for that simple repair, he wanted me to climb on the roof and take photos.

Critical: Professionalism Biggest bunch of hacks I've seen in 38 years of construction. No signage, all 4 egresses had debris being dropped from roof! Called building inspector, fire & police on these hacks! OSHA, no levelers or missing on extension ladders, workers don't speak or understand English supposedly; debris strewn all over and left overnights. Service: Roof repair

We sought estimates from several roofing contractors. Tom responded immediately, came out immediately and stayed close through the estimation process. John also provided some insurance guidance that saved me a lot of money. We eventually received quotes from other contractors but all were slow to respond and could not commit to dates. The LARGE crew arrived, walked me through the process, and completed the asphalt roof and pvc trim replacement on a large colonial in one day.
By 4:00 pm the job was done and you would never have noticed they were there. The most hard working crew I have ever seen. Looking back we are so thankful we chose John Bean Roofing. We highly recommend them.

Had some water entry from solar panels. JBR came out right away to verify that's what it was before I called the solar company. After the panels were remounted and resealed by the solar company, I had JBR come back to redo the entire ridge vent, which was a problem waiting to happen due to improper installation from my old roofer (who is since out of business, go figure).
In addition, they removed my old satellite dish and sealed and re-shingled the area. They were done in maybe an hour or two. Very professional, very responsive, and definitely very reasonable in price. I'll definitely be using them in the future.

Jon Bean Roofing put a new roof on my house and shingled over the ridge vent opening on the back side of the house. This lack of ventilation caused mold to grow in my attic. When I called the owner he told me that mold grows in everyone's attic and it was not his concern and that he would send someone to cut open the vent from inside the house. I engaged another roofer who removed the ridge vent, cut the openings properly, replaced all of the poorly fastened shingles in the affected area and replaced the ridge vent with all new material. Bean's in adequate installation introduced a hazard into my home which could have affected my family.
I would have been willing to work with this individual but his poor attitude led me to another contractor. I would highly discourage anyone from working with this contractor.

We used this company for our roofing needs for many years until John Sr. retired from the business. It's just not what it used to be, at all. Overpriced compared to competitors when they do get around to giving you a requested quote, always too busy to fit you in even in an emergency, and never returns phone calls or answers emails. I've given up on ever doing business with them again.
We had a piece of roof ridge material fly off during one of last spring's horrific wind storms. We had the piece and called to request someone come replace it as it was causing rain to come in through bedroom ceiling fixtures. No response. Nada. We then called the contractor who did a major repair project for us last winter. He sent his roofing crew down and they fixed it.no charge. Brazilian work ethic, can't be beat.

The work they did seemed excellent. However, years later I'm trying to put my house on the market and found out the building inspector has no record of the required inspections having been done. They pulled a permit and before I paid for the work, they told me it was inspected, but apparently it wasn't. This is a snag in the sale of my home, and I tried to contact the company to get them to resolve it, but so far, no response. They have an answering service screen their calls, so you can't call them and speak to them directly. I would not recommend them.
