A Better Choice

We used them for waterproofing the basement. Apparently the "lifetime" warranty on the sump pumps is a lie. One of our 2 pumps is broken. It will not turn off, for this reason they refuse to replace it! They say it still works. It doesn't work, it's broken! I can not use it because it will not turn itself off as the pump was made to do. Does ABC know how electrical fires start?

Drains were installed in my house and my parents' house. The owner and employees were prompt, courteous, respectful and, most importantly, knowledgeable about the job they were doing. The owner came out to assess and provide an estimate. He answered all questions at that time and took any phone calls with additional questions between the estimate and start of the project. We had absolutely no complaints. JOB WELL DONE!

Overall great experience with this company. We reached out as we were having issues with water in our basement. They were able to get us scheduled for someone to come out within days of calling them. 18 yrs ago ABC provided the solution for my water damaged basement from hurricane ivan. And continuous dampness and nastiness. When they were finished after 2 days work I couldnt tell they were ever there. We had ABC recommended to us a few years ago when we had some waterproofing issues and they have never disappointed. We've used them for a French drain / sump pump installation among other visits. We've worked with Bill and his team (most recently, Josh), and the experience has consistently great. They're an enjoyable bunch that seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. Their work has always been good, the pricing has always been fair, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who has waterproofing needs.

Our house has been sinking due to ground settlement over the years. We contracted with A Better Choice to investigate and recommend corrections for the problem. They recommended the placement of 6 piers in our basement to support the foundation. I agreed with them and contracted the work with them. They completed the task of installing these piers which extended over 20 feet into the ground in two days.

The workers were among the hardest working team of individuals that I have seen. I was amazed that the job was completed in two days. Their work was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone.

This company did interior drains in my basement and garage and installed a sub pump last year. It was done in a timely professional manner and I haven't had a drip of water anywhere! Last week, I called because of an exterior water issue. Within 2 days they came out to assess the problem and 3 days later sent out a knowledgeable hard working crew that remedied the issue in a matter of hours. It is apparent that this company cares about their customers and the quality of their work. I would recommend this waterproofing company 100%!

I would like to thank Richard pack the owner of A Better Choice waterproofing, for coming to our home various times to address a previous company's bad workmanship. Failure to complete the French drain system and sump pump work from the other company left us with an uncompleted job, and our family to reach out to other contractors. Richard helped us with the mold problem so we could move on.

It's now been three months and the other company has not finished the work. I wish we had hired ABC and we now have buyers remorse. Richard's knowledge and experience was well appreciated. Skilled work man ship and quality work. Definitely a company you can trust.

I had A Better Choice address a leak for my in-laws that was always coming into their fruit cellar after every rain. The leak came in from the front porch and then into the basement via the fruit cellar. ABC saw the bad drainage of the rain water and the cracks in the foundation stone and corrected this. Now there is no longer any leaks when it storms. Well done!

I wish is could give 6 stars. Holy cow! A Better Choice was referred to me by a friend in my time of desperation. Anthony answered the phone at 7pm to take my call. He was so sweet and listened to every concern I had and spoke to me in a way I understood. He Came out the next morning and gave the estimate and everything from there was seamless. The guys were just here replacing our internal drain system and installed a sump pump.

They were extremely professional and informed me every step of the way. They showed up on time and cleaned everything up as should be. They even helped me move my trash cans down to the street I would recommend A Better Choice to literally anyone! I am so happy to have found this wonderful, amazing company!

So I was looking to buy a house and found the perfect one. except it had a leaky basement. So I asked around work and friends and everyone told me to call A Better Choice. When I did, the person I spoke with was so nice. They sent out an inspector so quickly and worked around my schedule. The inspector was awesome! He explained why the water was coming in and where it was coming from.

He never pressured me to buy off of him (like the other companies did) So after I bought the house I had A Better Choice come in and do an internal French drain with 2 pumps. I've never seen a drop of water! Because of them I have my man cave I've always wanted! I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!

After having A Better Choice install an interior drainage system and two sump pumps in my home in 2003, I am continually satisfied with their installation and expertise. Over these past 18 years, I have called a few times (including this week) to inquire about the mechanics of the sump pumps. I have had speedy responses that have rectified any concerns and have been greatly appreciated. I highly recommend them.

Dont expect much. Our basement still leaks after 8000 dollars worth of work. Awful response time, and will not give us a bigger pump like we need. We had to have the fire department come and help pump out our basement AFTER the work was done. Even the fire department told us we need a bigger pump. So basically we paid them or nothing and they will not install a bigger pump like we need. Ridiculous, move on! However, I will say bill who 1st came out and the workers were very nice.

So I had a wall that was bowing and A Better Choice was referred to me from a friend so I gave them a call and wow. The customer service experience that I endured when I called completely blew me away. They were so personable and professional I couldn't believe it. So I told them what was going on and they sent someone out quickly and looked everything over then we scheduled the job.

They came out and installed fortress carbon fiber Kevlar straps on the wall in a decent amount of time then the inspector came out quickly and showed up on time and everything was perfect. Never dealt with any company quite like this and I will 100% use them again and refer them to all my family and friends.
