Standing Seam is a panel type noted with a pronounced rib and a fastener system concealed beneath the panel so the screws are not exposed. Our TCM-LOK panel is manufactured with a built-in "nail strip" that allows installers to fasten the panel edge directly to the roof deck with the next panel overlapping the fasteners.

Would you rather not see the fasteners like you would with an exposed metal roofing panel? For many residential applications, the TCM-LOK panel may be for you. This panel is manufactured with an incorporated "nail strip" for fastening directly to the roof deck. TCM-LOK is available in all three color systems.

Exposed Panels Report

The Ultra Rib is the main-stay, go-to metal roofing panel for many projects. The biggest difference with the Ultra Rib compared to other popular panels is it is fastened to the roof with fasteners that can be seen. This is called an "exposed" metal roofing panel. For low-slope, commercial, or agricultural applications, the PBR panel is a rugged metal roofing panel that can get the job done. Available in many Core Defender colors, the PBR panel definitely has it place in our metal roofing panel line up.

I installed my metal roof to my home myself. It took me 11 months of my partners and my spare time. If you are doing this yourself, be sure you have a dry place to store the painted sheets of metal. If you get them wet when stacked on top of each other, along the edges and break points the paint will start to bubble up. Beware! For this, I used a wire brush wheel on my drill motor and then used a primer spray paint. I will be going back to do a paint job on my new roof.
