River Roofing was established in 1971 by Jack Mclntosh in Leaburg, Oregon. Before moving to Oregon, Jack owned Mclntosh Roofing in Los Angeles, a large firm with an excellent reputation for quality and dependability. He came to Oregon and started River Roofing at the age of 55, bringing his years of experience and expertise to the firm.
When selecting a contractor it is important to know as much a possible. We went ahead and put together some questions that you should ask before choosing a roofing contractor and provided our answers. How long have they been in business? River Roofing has been serving Lane County since 1971, celebrating our 44th anniversary.
What separates River Roofing from other roofing companies? River Roofing uses the best products available. We do not "cut corners" to try to be the lowest bid or to match or "beat" any other estimate. For example, the underlayment we use is ASTM Certified, which means it's heavier and lasts longer to provide excellent waterproofing for your roof. We use only 1/2 CDX exterior grade plywood to ensure there is no future buckling of the roof sheathing.
We realize it can be a little confusing when faced with the varied choices available in roofing products. Each of these offer benefits and value when applied correctly on appropriate structures. In the following pages we will explain the differences as well as when and why to use each one. We are happy to discuss the various options on your building.

The roofers were very skilled. My new roof looks great! Also was impressed with the communication from the office gal, Brittany. The folks at River Roofing are awesome to work with and our new roof is beautiful. The estimate by Larry was thorough and there were no surprises. The roofers that did our job were very respectful and courteous and mindful of our landscaping, cleaning the jobsite of debris each of the 3 days it took to complete the roof. I don't think that I can think of one negative thing to say about River. Out of many bids, they were one of the best priced. I have used them commercially before, so I felt comfortable using them on our house. Their communication was quick and thorough, they were able to squeeze us in early when weather permitted, and the outcome is looking wonderful.
I am in awe at how professional they are. A crew came and did the tear down. Everyone had a task, they were efficient and fast, and left without a trace of waste around the house. The following day, the shingles arrived, followed by installers. They have the timing, process, and workload down to a science. Thank you so much for making this financially painful experience a lot more tolerable, and dangit, even pleasant.

I am very happy that I chose River Roofing. They were incredibly professional and helpful from start to finish. At no point did it feel like they were trying to do a hard sell of a particular material or option and they answered my many, many questions. The contract was clear and concise. Their crews did great, fast work. There was no mess for me to deal with after the project was completed - no nails or other debris at all.

Do not know how this guy stays in business as long as he has. 1 thousand dollars to fix two 20X20 awnings. I had to clean up mess from them tearing old roof off, 32 days to complete. I have 4 leaks. Will not reply to fix. Can u say, Registrar on Contractors. Not Happy at all and will file a major COMPLAINT

First call and Jason came out the next day. Showed up clean cut and very polite. Got his name from the referral organization in Lhc. I went up on the roof with him and he explained what was going on with my present situation. Gave me a fair price and the next day response to repair what needed to be done. He also gave me a great guarantee that this would solve my problem. I highly recommend him for his honestyand fairness. Not to mention his parents raised an outstanding and polite man! Jack

We're really happy with the results! The materials and quality of the work was top-notch. We had a short difficult interaction with the lead and one of his helpers when my wife and I asked a few questions about the work. They treated us like it was a big deal to answer our questions and I didn't appreciate their attitude and response. I suppose roofers don't get much experience with customer service so we let it go. Despite this little bump, we have recommended River Roofing to our friends and the (many) neighbors who have stopped by.

If you want a roofer that does NOT keep their commitment then this is your guy. He replaced our entire roof and we have a small leak. He said he would repair it but we have yet to see him. After numerous calls(he does not return calls) he said he was too busy. Yeah right. He will have bad bad karma for this
