RC Roofing is FANTASTIC! I worked with Nick Scarcella and he was professional, courteous, thorough and an excellent communicator. He kept me up to date all throughout the process and made sure we were well taken care of and happy with the process and the end result. He went over and above in customer service and I can't say enough good things about working with him. Rick Clark was also involved in the project and was on site and up on the roof making sure the work his team was doing was top notch.

We also had to work with our solar company to get our panels removed and reinstalled and Nick worked with the solar company to make sure everything was taken care of and completed in a timely manner. The guys at RC Roofing are honest, hard working and incredibly easy to work with. I highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Homeowners need to rely on a number of trustworthy and competent contractors to keep our homes in order; roofers are at the top of the list because of the huge, expensive problems that can quickly arise from a leaky roof. We first came into contact with Rick Clark Roofing 14 years ago. I was impressed with the prompt, professional service Rick and his crew offered to us.

He is a very straightforward and honest person as well. He has replaced and serviced portions of our roof over the years and has always lived up to the warranty he offers. I very much value Rick's expertise and experience and have recommended him to a number of our friends and neighbors when they have had roof problems. It gives me great comfort to be able to depend on Mr. Clark to protect our home, especially when we have a downpour.

We were lucky enough to have worked with Rick and his entire team for many years. They are the best roofing company and repair in San Diego. We have a very unique roof and a house from 1936 and their knowledge of older homes to newer homes is great. They are prompt, reliable, honest, professional, knowledgeable, and their work is outstanding. We highly recommend Rick and his team!

Nick Scarcella is great! I called RC Roofing to look at a leak. Nick called me back, scheduled an appointment, and showed up on time. He water-tested the roof and determined it wasn't a leak, but an old pool of water from the previous roof. He uncovered that I had a window leak that I didn't know about. He also gave me some tips on maintaining the current roof to avoid future expenses. He was awesome - helped me solve problems and gave great advice. I'll be calling RC when my roof needs it and recommending them to friends. Thanks so much guys!

Following an in depth contractor search, my husband and I hired Rick Clark and as the winter rains begin falling, we could not be happier with our choice. From his detailed initial bid, through the complete replacement and installation of a new tile roof on our 36 year old two-story home, Rick and his workers were honest and exceptional craftsmen. Rick assisted me in choosing the perfect tile for our home and worked with our solar company to make certain the entire job went smoothly. Rick communicated regularly and showed up when he said he would, every single time.

I got several bids, but decided on RC Roofing. When Nick first came here, he spent a lot of time looking over the roof, measuring, and explaining to me what to expect and what might need to be done in areas that weren't yet uncovered.

He was very thorough, didn't rush and addressed all of my questions. The bid was not the lowest, but the proposal they gave me was incredibly detailed and covered all possible charges. They allowed 4 days to install the roof. They did it in 2. The crew was professional and efficient. When they left, there was no debris, or any evidence that they were ever here, except for a beautiful new roof.

From my experience from previous houses, a roof repair is like a blind date. They all may appear similar until you get to know them. That's when you discover which one needs a lot of work, or just a little love and attention, or like mine, is easy and quick. (My roof, not me.)

Be ready for extensive repairs, but hopefully you won't need them. And be wary of bids that seem too simple and are priced really low.

24 years ago we had RC roofing put on an entirety new roof on our 1927 Spanish bungalow, including all new red clay tiles. In 2006 RC roofing came out and roofed the addition we added. Never a problem with either roof. So when the current roof at 24 years is heading towards the end of its useful life, we asked Rick to put on a new roof. We elected to have the IBS "cool roof" installed. More expensive, but a lifetime warranty on the material. The crew was punctual, courteous and professional, and the final job is fantastic. Great work for a fair price.

I got three quotes to redo our roof. One came in so cheap I didn't trust it. Another was from a company that acted like used car salesmen. RC wasn't the cheapest, but they had the most thorough proposal, worked with us on the price, and did a great job overall. They were up front about everything and completed the work quickly. Highly recommend.

RC Roofing replaced my detached, large, leaky garage roof at the end of June. The entire process was excellent. Would highly recommend their services. Nick, the estimator, was great to work with as was Rick, the owner. The crew were hard working and did a great clean-up job. I was contacted in a timely manner throughout the entire process. I love the new skylights that were installed. I appreciate their professionalism and job well done.

Excellent experience with this company and their crew. Three days to tear off old roof, make repairs, and install new roof. Couldn't be more pleased. Cleaned up every day and followed social distancing and mask guidelines.

RC Roofing did a lift and re-lay on our tile roof as well as some wood replacement in the eaves last month. They did a great job. Professional, prompt, courteous, good communication and great quality work. Couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend calling this company for any roofing work needed. Nick was very responsive and went out of the way to help. He spent a lot of time answering all my questions. I talked with several companies and ended up going with a different company due to them being able to move my unique solar panels. If it wasn't for this issue I would have definitely gone with this company. They offered a very competitive proposal that included high quality materials.

I recently realized my patio roof needed help and was well past its torch-down type, flat roof life expectancy. It was replaced Oct 2002 by RC Roofing along with a completely new asphalt shingle roof, plywood and up, for the rest of the house. My last Yelp review for RC Roofing was for a small repair needed due to my fault. Well, we all have days that are not our best and when I started thinking of who to hire to redo the patio roof, RC Roofing kept coming to mind, so I called Rick Clark/Owner, RC Roofing.

When we spoke on the phone, it was the same nice Rick I recalled from 2002. We set a day to have him come over to take a look at the patio roof and give an estimate. Rick gave me a very thorough estimate and suggested much needed replacement of some wood components damaged by termites - other than that I think the roof still had life left in it even at its age!

It never leaked. Rick moved fast from the moment he gave the estimate to a week later to do the job. Today, Rick's team came out and completed the job in short order and did a fantastic job. When they left you never would have known they were here.

All the work was done very carefully and clean. All the new wood components were primed white and are ready for me to paint. At the end of the job, Rick came over, had me review the work on a ladder, explain their process and had his tech reseal some roof vents installed back in 2002, to make sure they will go another 18 years with no problems! Rick observed that the roof, on the rest of the house, looked like it had just been done and is in very good condition. I'll take that!

RC roofing just completed two jobs for my home. I had some skylights installed by Skylight Pros; Skylight Pros recommended RC roofing so we contracted with RC as suggested. We did get one other quote and the price was competitive and actually just under the other recommended roofer. Skylight pro's installed 5 skylights for me, and RC roofing replaced the tiles on that roof system.

We had been considering doing some work on our front roof, and since they did such a great job in the back we asked them to also add a new section of roof in the front of our home. In the front they added new lumber and roofing. My wife has an eye for detail and had some concerns with one section of the roof, and RC roofing was quick to make everything right to her satisfaction. The staff was very friendly and professional, and took care with the cleanup when the job was completed.

Met with them (and 5+ other roofers) and he knew roofing for sure, but was surprised that their bid was nearly double nearly all of the others. Politely emailed if there might be a more economical option and never heard back. Perhaps they were just too busy? Perhaps a huge overpriced estimate is just their polite way to turn down a job? Either way. we obviously went with someone else.

I just had RC roofing put a new roof on my rental home. I had several bids, but what sets Rick apart is his knowledge and his attention to detail. His contracts are the best I have seen. He tells you upfront all the possibilities and costs. He includes the cost of wood if in an event there is damage once they start taking the roof off. He is also accessible and answers all texts and phone calls quickly.

His Foreman who runs the jobs on site is kind and knowledgeable has 20+ years experience. When I showed up on the job site Rick had 2 crews working and it was organized and running smoothly. His prices were the same as the other bids, but you get so much more with Rick. I would recommend using them to anyone. I am a very detailed organized person and wanted to find a company that was well managed, Rick does that. Thank you RC Roofing!

There is a reason they have all these 5 star reviews. Fantastic job! All the guys showed up everyday, on time! Worked all day! Cleaned up the job each day before they left! I know all these things seem like normal work things, but trust me, I've had a couple of projects here at home and it's been my experience that they get a job started and then disappear, or work for 2 or 3 hours.

Not only did they work all day, but I have to say that all the guys that worked at my house were super friendly and also answered my questions I had about certain areas of the roof. So, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. RC Roofing 5 stars!

No show. Made appointment with"Rick" for a 9 am appointment making it clear that I had to leave by 9:30. No show, no phone call, no job for them. Not impressed by businesses that don't have common courtesy to give phone call when unable to make scheduled appointment -- in my view, it is rude. After all, others have places to be and people to see. 11/6/2018. Hired Rick and his crew to fully replace my tile roof.

They did an exceptional job and, for the most part, were respectful of my home and yards. Rick is professional and knows his business. I believe I am a "difficult" customer as I like things to be neat and cleaned after each day's work was completed and Rick ensured his staff accommodated. My only caution is for those of you that have a lot of decorations outside and outdoor living rooms that you move things away from the house so there are no problems.

I had minimal and Rick was wonderful about understanding such. I highly recommend RC Roofing. I had numerous bids and Rick's was the most professional and fairly priced.

I waited to do this review to confirm the roof repair RC Roofing completed for us in June 2017 was good to go with some rain. I am happy to report that, due to Ricks attention to detail, we are leak free. I initially contacted him to address a single leak (previous owner was a do-it-yourselfer) and had unfortunately left a hole the size of the front of the shoe, which allowed water to leak in and wreak havoc on our master bathroom below.

In comes Rick, he not only addressed our primary concern, but was able to suggest a few additional repairs that were causing issues unknown to us (leaking near fireplace, garage and improper vents). Out of all the bids we received he was the only one to address the roof as a whole and not just crank out a $ figure for the task at hand. In addition, he was very attentive to my many questions and truly was invested in our happiness. Thanks again Rick, Daniel

Called them to ask if they to assessments for skylight leaks. I was told they did and they scheduled something three weeks later because they are terribly busy. I understood and had them come out. Well apparently the leak was not worth their time because someone came to the house and said they would email us an estimate. I haven't hard back from them.

It seems they only care about big projects like other companies and they don't even have the decency to tell you that over the phone. Complete waste of time. Keep that in mind! I would encourage them to include that as part of their advertising to they don't waste customer's time.

I highly recommend RC Roofing! They re-roofed our house with quality materials and did a great job. We are very pleased our roof and new skylights are water-tight, ready for years to come! Owner Rick Clark is friendly and fair. His company is quite busy now in neighborhoods like mine with homes built 25 years ago with roofs that are due to be replaced, especially with concerns about a wet winter due to El Nino.

But when you call his voicemail will state the current ETA for estimates and job scheduling. Have faith, he'll be in touch and follow through! Rick's crew arrived promptly every day and had a friendly foreman. Everyone worked hard and they cleaned up each night. (Roofing is messy business!) The end result was a tidy job that is a vast improvement from our original roof. Highly recommend RC Roofing!
