Fantastic service! Had emergency situation and they fixed my roof immediately! Good, genuine people to work with. Very knowledgeable.

I realized that my ceiling had a leak in it - four days before moving out of my house! My realtor suggested Hill's Roofing and they did a great job for me. They came out the same day I called them to assess the problem and fixed it the next day for me. They showed me how the leak was caused by shoddy workmanship that I had hired before and explained in detail how they would fix it. If I was staying in IL and needed a roofer, I'd ask these guys again.

I contacted Kevin at Hills Roofing to fix a piece of flashing/trim that fell off of our house with a recent storm as well as insulation blown into our attic. They were incredibly responsive, came out quickly to repair it, checked our roof in the process, and was able to give us a quote for insulation on the spot. Their guys were incredibly professional and prompt. Would absolutely recommend.

We hired Hills Roofing to add ventilation and insulation to our attic. They carried out the work professionally and promptly, and currently we are quite pleased with the results. I recommend them.

From Start to finish the job went well. On initial walk thru with Kevin he requested to see the attic, then pointed out the poor venting system and lack of insulation. The Job was postponed for quite sometime due to all the rain this year. Once the arrived, the really knocked it out! They cleaned up everyday before leaving. Once the roof was complete, the attic baffles were added and reinsulation was completed.

The Upstairs now stays as cool in the summer as the down stairs. Then the final walk thru with the owner of the company Tom. I would Highly recommend Hills Roofing for all your roofing needs!

I used Hills many years ago for repair work. I still remember to this day how bad the experience was. Terrible!

This is the second time that we used Hill. The first time was to repair a leak in the roof after a snow storm. Excellent work that resolved the problem. Fast forward to needing a new roof due to storm damage. Kevin came out and clearly laid out our options and what we needed versus did not need. They showed up when they said they would, did the work exactly as promised, cleaned up each day and protected all our plants in the process. The work was well done. Kevin followed up with a walk around. I highly recommend Hill.

These guys are the best. Looking for a roofing contractor, or any contractor, can be tough. Most of the guys that came out walked the property and gave us a quote 5 mins later. Come on really, there has to be more to it? I am not going to pay 20K+ to a contractor that spends 5 mins and doesn't even pull out a ladder and doesn't detail the quote out. Kevin and Hill's roofing are the best you can get.

They came out and not only examined the roof from the outside but when into the attic as well to see if any plywood was rotten and so forth. Kevin returned with a detailed quote didn't pressure us in any way. One of the many deciding factor was the crew. They use the same crew all the time, no sub-contractors. Now that meant we had to wait an extra couple of weeks but we didn't mind.

Another key point is that they stand behind their work and craftsmanship. About a month after the job we found a squirrel in our attic. We were naturally upset. But when I called Hills roofing about it. They came out and acknowledged it was their fault and they would take care of it and pay for any additional expenses to fix the problem. Their prices are fair and they quality and attention to detail is above the rest. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

I would stay as far away from this company as you can. I'm a real estate broker with lots of construction experience throughout a 26 year career. This company, I'm sad to say has ripped me off. I paid this company a quarter of the amount due on contract as a deposit (which they kept) and did not finish the job. The owner is very combative and actually threatened to get the full amount.

The story is somewhat unbelievable, especially knowing that they do business in the area where I have worked my entire career. After waiting for over three weeks for them to get customized material to complete a patch in my roof with exposed rough sawn cedar, they showed up with smaller boards that were sanded. This material would be exposed to a beautiful open post and beam white stained family room.

Even the worker that was on the job quickly agreed that he could not do the work with the material on his truck. When speaking to the owner of the company, it was apparent he was having a bad day and was combative and forceful, believing that I would be okay with whatever he installed. He said the material was what was readily available in the marketplace but yet we waited 3 weeks to get exactly what the job called for. Trust me when I say, stay away, as far away as you can!

This is Hills Roofing responding to Mick. I do apologize about your experience, but I think you might have us confused with another contractor. We have been in business for over 30 yrs. under the same name and owner. We have had the same designated service crew for many, many years.no new guys here. Furthermore, we ARE on Angies List and have been. In fact, we received the Angies List Super Service Award for 2013 and 2014. Yelp is a tough one to believe sometimes.

I used these guys to repair a couple leaks I had. I was talked into the more expensive collar around the chimney which I do not regret investing in since the leak appears to have been fixed. However, the most troublesome leak, which I was told was a mere "nail hole, " stopped leaking for a short time and then resumed. $1800 total. When I brought it to their attention that the nail hole leak was still a problem, I was presented another $1100 estimate.

Classic roofing nightmare. I used these young guys as they seem to be building their business. However, it took them over 6 weeks to show up to do the initial repair and were at my house such a very short time when they did show up. I suspect all I did was pay a lot for roofing cement that day. At some point they had been on Angie's List but they are now off any of my lists save for the "AVOID" one.

Had him out to quote metal roofs over two bay windows. He just tried to keep telling me I couldn't afford metal roofs! Yet he said copper roofs were much better than metal(and more expensive) and tried sell me on copper(my wife doesn't like the weathered copper look/color) 1 - What ever happened to pleasing the customer? 2 - Sounds like this guy is not skilled enough to do metal. Heads up to potential customers - IF you ever did USE him for a job - he appears VERY combative and would very difficult to work with, ESP. if the job ran into problems
