BQ Basement Systems

I met with lots of waterproofing and basement contractors, but Tyler was the first to really put my mind at ease with how to proceed. He wasn't pushy in trying to close the deal and his recommendations were reasonable and informed without going overboard. We ended up deciding to do floor to ceiling vapor barrier with French drain and sump pump (with a lifetime warranty that stays with the house - a big selling point).

Once the date was set, Steve and his crew of Liam, Pedro and Dan showed up promptly and went straight to work. Steve talked through things once more before they started the demo just to make sure we were all on the same page. He kept me updated as the day went on, and they were done before I knew it, leaving the place clean and I hope waterproof! I can recommend BQ Basements for waterproofing for their great customer service, workmanship and the peace of mind.

Had BQ come out to level the concrete around my pool. I've had great communication with Mike throughout the process. When John the mason came out for the schedule time of the job he gave me some honest feedback and set expectations of what could be done. He gave me great information about what to look for and what could be done. Sadly that day we canceled the project but more than anything I appreciate the honesty and professionalism. Its nice to work with someone who puts the customer first like that. Anytime I am able to use BQ and John in the future I certainly will.

Easy to get an estimate and clear pricing from Stephen Merlini for sealing my crawlspaces. Good explanation of the issue and ways to fix them. Update a month after install: Did get hit with an additional charge for a pump for the dehumidifier during the install process. After install I've found the encapsulation is not entirely sealed off and there's gaps in the wall installation. For the sizable investment I would have hoped to have a better finished product.

Working with BQ was an excellent experience! Our initial estimate was with Austin, who was knowledgeable and explained our options concisely and well. We were initially quoted a start time of late April, but with a toddler and another on the way, we were really hoping to have the basement waterproofed as soon as possible so we could finish it into a family room. BQ was able to fit us in almost a month and a half earlier!

The crew came by today and were able to finish the entire job in about six hours. The foreman, Eric T, along with his crew of Steve G, Zach, and Gabe K, were incredibly professional and courteous. They worked hard and efficiently, and were even able to quiet the construction noise a bit to accommodate our toddler's nap time. When they finished, Eric walked me through everything they had done and answered all the questions I had. Overall, our high expectations were met and exceeded. You can't go wrong with BQ. And the prospect of a dry basement practically has me excited for the next major storm instead of dreading it!

Had a gutter/sump pump and WallSeal system installed today (crew: John, Rahad, Dave and Miles). Prompt, professional, courteous, clean. Looking forward to NOT having to think about water leaking in during heavy rainfall!

John Mohr, the field inspector from BQ was excellent! He spent a lot of time explaining the foundation remedies his firm offers and how they would best address my settlement issues. He was thorough in explaining what the process would involve and how it would solve my settlement issues. He also recommended and thoroughly explained why my basement should be waterproof from moisture and humidity.

The price estimate he gave was very reasonable, well below other quotes I received. Overall, it was a great experience talking with the field inspector. I feel comfortable working with BQ and would highly recommend them!

The BQ basement water proofing crew just finished our basement water proofing job. They arrived promptly, were very professional and courteous. Steve and his crew, Pedro, Dan and another Steve worked tirelessly from the moment they arrived and finished the job in a single day. The basement looks great. Brandon came to our house and gave us a thorough inspection. He patiently spent about 2 hours going over solutions with us. I never felt like he was pressuring me into buying extra stuff, which was something I was worried about with a big company. He has been receptive to our questions, thoughtful and overall an awesome guy! We are comfortable with the price, we are excited to get this project done and we feel confident in our decision choosing BQ Basements.

BQ "leveled" my driveway a few months ago. Shortly after their treatment, that section of the concrete sank again. They came out and leveled it again. Shortly thereafter, that section sank AGAIN! I have been calling for months and leaving messages. I don't remember if anyone ever called me back. One time the job manager (accidentally, I think) answered my call to his direct cell phone number.

He remembered the job, and said he was going to discuss it with Brian Quinn. He said he would get back to me. That was weeks ago. No one answers my calls today, and I doubt anyone will get back to me. I want a refund, so that I can have that section of concrete replaced. If their system doesn't work the first or second time, you have wasted the money. It's your tough luck! They dodge calls and won't back their work. Their leveling system was a failure. Beware!
