I hired steve for my roof work. Our roof was 40 years old and had a lot of patch work done that was causing major leaks, we also had some flat areas that needed a slope so that water does not puddle and cause more leaks. Steve and his team created a new roof and added a slope and did this in a timely manner with no headache whatsoever. It was a pleasure working with steve and his crew and they did an excellent job. If you are looking for any roof work, go with this company and you will not regret it.

Great price, great work! Licensed and bonded, Santiago Roofing has done 3 jobs for us over the past few years. I like dealing directly with the contractor, not a salesman who works for commission. Steve listened to our objective (type of roof, how long we planned to own the house, past problems, budget, etc) and made recommendations based on what we needed.

We have gotten a higher end product for our own home, a very good product for my mother-in-law's home and a good product for a house that was leaking, but may be torn down long before any warranty expires. The price for each job was the best from any other licensed company, and included city permits. The contract was easy to understand and included prices per sq foot for extra wood replacement that might be discovered after tearing off the old roof. The crews were on time and cleaned up completely at the end of each work day. I highly recommend Santiago Roofing. Professional, friendly, reasonable and reliable!

We scheduled an appointment to have a leak looked at in our roof. Spoke with Steve, who said he'd call us the day prior to confirm the time. Didn't hear from him so the day of we called to confirm. He said he'd come by between 4:30 and 5 and he never showed or called. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Wasted my time and I couldn't even get a quote. I tend to do my research before even contacting the vendors. Santiago was highly recommended by ND and and high rating on Yelp so I decided to give Steve a call. Our rental property had a leak over the rainy season earlier this year. I needed someone to come out and give us an estimate. I have already gotten 2 other estimates and was waiting on a 3rd to make the final decision.

After about a week of phone calls, Steve finally made it out to the property and looked over the roof. He said he would send me the estimate right away. I gave him my email and he confirmed he got it and will send it over. After a week, nothing. I followed up with him again via text and calls several time with no response. I couldn't wait any longer and risk the rain coming back again so I decided to go with one of the other vendor that I had already gotten the estimate from. It was just a complete waste of time.

Steve was great to work with and very communicative. He helped me find the right color for my roof by providing me samples and was very professional. His crew stripped our roof and put on a brand new roof with flashing. The quality is excellent and I couldn't be happier with the results.

No cutting corners, no taking advantage of the consumer, and ensure that the materials were backed by a long-standing warranty from a reputable company. Santiago just replaced our old cal shake roof and did extensive repair of major termite damage. Steve was an absolute pleasure to work with start to finish. He advised us on which roof would be best for our home and his prices were very competitive. He and his crew were always on time and happy to answer any questions we had during the process. Very satisfied with this company. They replaced my roof several years ago. I developed a small leak due to a cracked tile. They were able to come out within a few days after Thanksgiving. They fixed it in a short time, cleaned it all up and were out there! Lesson learned if I see a cracked tile call them quickly and don't wait for the rain. Great job!

I called Santiago Roofing to get a few broken tiles replaced. Tiles from the upper roof had fallen off and broken flat tiles below. Steve came out to our house in Brea for a free quote: he assessed the damage and provided a very reasonable quote. A few days later his crew came back and performed the work. Great experience! I was referred to Santiago Roofing by a neighbor and as far as contractor referrals go this has been one of the best experiences ever. Steve (the owner) exudes kindness and knowledge and for me, he was always prompt in returning messages and quick to follow up on most requests. I interviewed 4 other roofers and and I hired one roofer to change my flat roof to minimal pitch roof and Santiago for my main roof. Santiago handled all permits, his crews arrived on time, did the roof quickly and they cleaned up and swept every inch of yard afterwards.

I could not have had a more seamless interaction and I've wished with a lot of contractors. We did my final walk through of the roof and I liked the attention to details. I'm still waiting on my chimney grill cover which he should be doing this week so after that it'll be a home run.

I believe his roof work could be great but I would not recommend Santiago roofing to anyone because of his 'he's important than anyone else'. His exact words as a response to waiting for 10 min is "I wasted an hour of my day". "I am a busy guy and can't wait around while you do whatever. Good luck finding someone else" At first, he said he would come one Tue afternoon.

Didn't show up; didn't follow up. He is very busy. I kept following up. We finally made an appointment for another Thur between 10 and 11. He didn't show up nor contact me at all. I followed up with him at 11:16 very kindly. We rescheduled to 12-12:30. I walked to the gate for my delivery at 12:17 but didn't bring my phone with me and went back to the house for the restroom.

When I reached my phone I saw missed messages and calls from him. I called and texted and apologized immediately and ran to the gate. On the phone I said literally "I am sorry. I am at the gate." He said, "I waited. I am done!" and then hung up on me. I texted to apologize that I didn't have my phone for 5 min. His text back was "I waited 15 min+ min, not 5 min.

I'm a busy guy and can't wait around while you do whatever. Good luck finding someone else." I double checked all the time stamps for our communication. It was 10 min. I feel very petty now that I'm writing this review. Yes it was my fault I didn't have my phone for 10 min. But I don't deserve his abusive attitude and language. I wouldn't want any service from someone like him. He made me feel he's an abusive boss. I need to be at my phone any second - otherwise I'm fired. But he can ignore me, not show up because he's a very busy man.

I bought a house in Anaheim almost two years ago. I knew the roof wasn't in the best shape but I had pushed it into the back of my mind while I focused on other more urgent repairs. We had a few days of really heavy rain in mid-January. It was then that I noticed a fairly large water stain on my living room ceiling. I knew that I had to get someone at my house to assess the roof.

Of course this was a very stressful situation because I didn't know if I would have to just have the roof repaired or have the whole roof replaced. I didn't grow up in the area and so I also didn't know any local roofers. I called two roofing companies--one didn't call me back and one told me they only replaced roofs (did not repair them).

I was discouraged and fearful of further damage from upcoming storms. I reached out to a real estate agent who instantly suggested Santiago Roofing. He said he recommends them to everyone. I called Steve from Santiago Roofing on a Thursday afternoon. He was at my house and on the roof within 24 hours. He was professional, friendly, personable, and put me completely at ease.

He told me exactly what he would do if it were his roof and never made me feel pressured to use his company. He emailed me a quote the following day and completed my repair the following Friday (just in time for the next batch of rain showers). I know that he squeezed my job into such a busy time of year for him and it was certainly appreciated. He even humored my home owner's agent and took pictures of the completed work! Plus, he cleaned the leaves off the front of my roof AND added more roofing paper underneath some of the tiles.without me asking and without charging me extra. I'm just blown away.

If you're looking for a roofer, don't waste your time researching companies. In the end, you're probably better just calling Steve from Santiago Roofing right away. He'll probably complete the job to perfection before the other companies even return your message. I know who I'm calling when my roof needs to be replaced in the next few years!

Santiago Roofing was great! We had two leaks in our roof and in one day they replaced 40 roof tiles and now we have no leaks. Also, their price was very competitive. We highly recommend them!

Just finished dealing with Steve the owner of Santiago Roofing. These pics show damage to fascia boards due to poor installation of drip flashing. Fascia boards are dry rotted and need to be replaced, the flashing was not lapped over the fascia boards. Water should never be running down the backside of fascia boards. He was very angered that we pointed out the problems and walked off. I've worked in the construction industry for over 35 yrs, I have never seen this kind of damage, it is solely do to poor workmanship.

Though the roof was replaced years ago. the damage uncovered recently was do to poor workmanship. Drip flashing was not properly installed, water penetrated and saturating the backside of fascia, causing paint to peel off front and backside. I don't care how old project is water should not have penetrated like that. In over 35 yrs of experience, I've never seen this. I've worked on old victorians and craftman style homes. never ever. Steve angrily walked off and told me to take him to court. Nice.

We had a very good experience with Santiago Roofing. They were very friendly, punctual, and trust-worthy. When we had a leak occur after their initial fix, the owner came back out within 30 minutes and was on the roof in the rain to put up a tarp. He came back within two days and went above and beyond to make sure it wouldn't leak again. We will definitely use Santiago for any future roofing issues.

I was referred to Steve by my neighbor, who is in real estate. At the end of the day, I trust references from people I know over Internet sources like Angie's List. I had a good gut feeling about Steve from the first time I met him. His price was fair and he seemed like a straight shooter. The work was completed in four days, the inspector gave the thumbs up, and my neighbors complimented me on how good the house looked after the completion of the work.

A couple of neighbors watched the whole process and remarked how the workers did a stellar job. My only complaint was they could have done a better job covering up in the garage; I had to ask Steve to clean up the mess. We've had a couple of light rains since then and everything seems to be okay. I would feel comfortable recommending Santiago Roofing to my friends, colleagues, and neighbors. A solid thumbs up!
