We have used Thomas Roofing for our prior house, my mom's house and my uncle's when they passed away to prepare them for sale, and now on our new house. We've been in our new house for only 4 1/2 years but part of the ridge vent blew off because the subcontractor working for our builder seemed to have run out of the proper wooden anchors and didn't get more to finish.

They opted to fashion them out of shingles which, of course, didn't hold against the wind. Merle provided an estimate the next morning, and even in this Covid-19 environment, a crew came to fix it this morning. I was afraid we would have to wait for months. With all the rain coming, they were right on time. We've been customers since about 2004, and we will continue to be. Thank you, Thomas family, for your integrity and personal approach.

They did such a great job! Came at 7am and was done and cleaned up by 12pm. They kept me in the loop with what was being done. I highly recommend them.

We had them replace our roof about 10 years ago. They were great. Soon after the new roof, we started getting water leaking into the house. They must have come out 10 times to try to figure it out. It turns out that the leak had nothing to do with the roof. They finally found and replaced some rotting wood around the chimney, and the leaking stopped.

Since then we have replaced several other pieces of rotting wood so we know ithe problem was not their work at all. They also only charged us for the thing they fixed that finally worked. We haven't had any problems with the roof.

I was having issues with moisture getting trapped in my attic and needed work done with my vents going through the roof. They came over, diagnosed the problem, and fixed the issue. The folks from Thomas Roofing were quick, courteous, cleaned up after themselves and got the job done. I would absolutely recommend them for any of your roofing needs.

Prompt, courteous phone service and quick turnaround on an estimate. Their estimate was $2500 less than a competitor. They did 4 of 6 roofs on my cul de sac in a week (including mine), starting at 7:30am and finishing at about 6pm each day. Each time they left, they cleaned up so well that it was like they'd never been here, other than the new roofs left behind. I couldn't be happier!

Thomas roofing put a new roof and flashing on my roof a in 2016. In May 2017 water came through my ceiling at my fireplace. The flashing on the chimney had detached. When the flashing was repaired and this time secured, the Thomas roofing repairman stated that the flashing should have been secured with screws to avoid this problem. Mr Thomas initially stated that his insurance company would cover the repairs.

A little over a month later the insurance company stated that they would not cover the repair because Mr. Thomas's insurance did not cover improper installation or materials. I contacted Mr Thomas several times, and he then stated that he would pay for the repair and I should find a contractor and send him an estimate. I obtained a contractor who sent Mr Thomas an estimate.

Mr Thomas then said he would have a contractor he worked with do the repair. By this time it is early August. Mr Thomas's contractor came by, looked at the damage, and said he was unable to make the necessary repairs to the ceiling. I contacted Mr Thomas again asking him how to proceed---he requested I send him the estimate from the contractor who had sent him the estimate in June. Idid not receive any response to several emails.

After finally reaching Mr Thomas by phone, he stated that he would not stand by his offer to repair the damaged ceiling. Mr Thomas stated that his contract does not cover flashing or interior damage resulting from leaks. He now also stated that my only recourse would be legal, after stating for 3 months that he would take responsibility for the repair.

Thomas Roofing completed my new roof earlier this year. I received a free estimate from Mr. Thomas within days of my initial call to the company. I was given a fair quote before the work was done; and this is the exact amount I was charged. I was given the start date and time. The employees showed up on time; and, the foreman knocked on the door upon their arrival to introduce himself.

Everyone was very professional. The new roof was expertly done; and when the crew left my yard was spotless. Again, one of the employees knocked on my door prior to their departure to let me know the job was completed. Several of my neighbors were impressed with the work and asked for the number of the company. I have recommended the Thomas Roofing Company to family, friends, and neighbors. In the future, I would definitely use this company.

Thomas Roofing installed my new roof. Prior to that, my roof was entirely flat and I had problems with water not draining properly because of the location of the drains. Water was leaking into the house. After extensive interviews with a number of roofing contractors, I selected Thomas Roofing. They installed a state of the arts roof, building up the flat areas and designing an entirely new drainage system - directing the water off the roof properly.

They are our go- to roofer. We have a contemporary post and beam home with a low pitched roof. We also have a flat roof for a shed in the back that we use as a patio out back- so, needless to say, we've had to work with several roofers and contractors since buying our "fixer upper." You always have good and bad experiences (one company we had to call to come back three times before they fixed a leak), But, we can trust that Thomas roofing will do the job correctly. Mr. Thomas is excellent at determining the etiology/or source of a roofing problem. Ted has been working in the roofing business for years and is excellent. We would highly recommend them. They are trustworthy too, which is hard to come by!

Our roof was installed by Thomas Roofing, Inc. seven years ago. There were a few problems during the installation, with damage done to one of our fascia boards that had to be replaced, and afterwards with leaks around the flashing of one of the skylights. But, the measure of a business isn't necessarily how it performs when everything goes right, but the honesty, integrity, and effort it puts into correcting problems that are often unforeseen after the initial purchase. Thomas Roofing corrected the two problems to our utmost satisfaction. Mr. Thomas (Merrill) paid to replace the fascia board with a new one, and paid my labor costs to cut, paint, and help install the board.

Industry standard practice is to reuse the existing flashing on skylights, but when ours leaked several months after the roof was completed, he ordered original replacement flashing from the skylight manufacturer, and installed it on every skylight at no cost to us, even though I offered to pay for the service. We live in north-eastern Carrol County, Maryland, and can highly recommend this family owned and run business for any of your roofing needs. Their crew is courteous, hard working, and respectful. This business truly works hard to earn, and is well deserving of their 5-star GAF rating.
