I'm livid at these people. they will not fix the roof they put on and gave warranty on. it has leaked and I spoke to the owner specifically and he yelled at me like it is my fault. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Notice all the "awesome" reviews are from before they put on the roof.

When I came back asking for a warranty after water was streaming down my walls I was told he would not cover it. my contractor said it was negligent work and I was told by Knox that I had to sue them to get any help.

Knox Roofing is the BEST. They are experts at roofing and have great customer service. Knox replaced all of my skylights which made my house much brighter. While they were at it they inspected my roof and gave it a thumbs up. Nice to know : Then I had Knox back to install gutter guards. First they cleaned all the gutters top to bottom. You can't imagine all the junk that builds up in your gutters!

Then they installed the gutter guards and now I don't have to worry about leaves and needles blocking up my gutters - FOREVER! The pricing was very reasonable and well worth every penny. I highly recommend them. Thanks Knox Roofing!

Prior to this year, I would have given Knox Roofing a good review. However, I was just informed that when they put in my roof (about 10 years ago), they allowed all the debris to fall in my attic. This became a great bed for rodents. In addition, they allowed all of my insulation to drop. Consequently, my freezing house had absolutely no insulation. Good to know if you are planning a roofing job with Knox.

Shocked at the MESS at the site of reroofing in Carmel Valley. Small scraps of "tar paper, " bags, clear wrap, smashed water bottles - all blowing around and down into the neighbor's yard and dangling from oak trees. 2 weeks of untiled roof and then, today, steady rain on the felt roof and lumber. To top it off, likely no recycling of vintage roof tiles which could have/should have been reused.

Habitat for Humanity?! I am thankful for my roofer - a smaller company with high reviews. He also was 1/3 price of the companies with more familiar names (heavy advertisers).

Our home developed a leak during the last rain. Called Knox 4 times and left messages. No one ever returned our calls. Very disappointing.

I am giving Knox Roofing 5 stars, and let me say things did NOT go as planned. This might sound crazy, but let me explain. One would think a roof is a roof; how hard can it be. But, there are some unknowns once the old one is torn off. I appreciated Knox and all of the employees because they wanted to do the job correctly, not just get it done and collect a check.

We experienced some expected and unexpected challenges, but Knox kept to the contract and did everything they had promised. The only item that we were charged extra for was some plywood replacement that could not be seen until after the original roof was removed. The guys here showed us the rotten plywood they were recommending we replace while it was still on the roof.

We were presented with a change order for the additional cost, and once we approved it, they did the work. Everyone who came to our house was wonderful, professional and they cleaned up each day. When we encountered some issues, Sean, our project manager, quickly replied and resolved them. When finding contractors, I always feel like it is important to find one that you can work with, not just when things are going according to plan, but one who will work with you when unexpected things occur, and that is where Knox Roofing was excellent. I would recommend them to all of my friends and would happily hire them again any time (but hopefully not for the next 15-20 years - the life expectancy of our new roof;) ).

Top-Notch! As we bought our house about a decade ago, we knew the roof would need replacing in the not too distant future. When we felt the time had come, we found ourselves the first of our HOA and surrounding neighborhood to brave the effort, so didn't have a recommendation, and were a bit apprehensive - it's no small undertaking. We had remembered when Knox had come out to check something at inspection when we first bought the house - they didn't waste any time, and were quick and efficient to give us the answer we needed. so we checked back with Knox and found they have long been an award-winning business. Warren Knox came out within days to evaluate the job, gave us an estimate, and a date to get started.

With the same efficiency and an award-winning product to offer, Knox fully replaced our roof within a week. It was a loud process, as expected, since it is basically construction after all, but when all was said an done, they checked behind themselves(!) for any nicks or scrapes, and quickly resolved a very few small issues. The roof looks just great!

We wish all companies demonstrated the kind of care, professionalism, and great product Knox provided in working with us - we cannot speak well enough of them! [Ha! Now it's time for us to repaint and refresh, so overlook that for pics below of Knox's roof work - beautiful!]

Dakota Carson, the President of the company, was personally involved and on the roof with his men to make repairs to our natural slate roof. They made repairs in addition to what was contracted for, without an additional charge, to insure that the roof was in tip top condition. I could not be more happy with the performance and professionalism of Knox Roofing. Hank

His roofers are working across the street and although there were plenty of places to park they parked in front of my house. It's a public street so they have every right. Except the driver of the truck asked me if I'd like him to move it and I said "sure, my girlfriend will be here soon and likes to park there." He then walked across the street to the jobsite and began a conversation with his co-worker, loudly.

Apparently he didn't think I understood Spanish and was saying things like "tell him to ____ my ____. So no surprise 4 hrs later he's still there. Knox, why do you let people work for you that are so disrespectful and rude? This is a Senior Park so if they talk to/about one of us this way, imagine how they must behave around others. Bad move.

We called Knox Roofing to replace the roof on a mobile home we bought in Santa Cruz. They were knowledgeable about the special state permit process for mobile home roofing, and did an excellent job replacing the roof in 2 days. The crew was efficient and friendly, and the customer service we received from the office and the work crew was excellent throughout. This was our third time hiring Knox, and we highly recommend them for any roofing job.

We needed gutter guards installed for fire prevention and were getting very high bids from others. Knox responded quickly, used our materials (from Costco), showed up as promised, and got the job done fast at a very reasonable price. Nice guys!

Hired to refresh waterproofing on balconies. Proper pre-tests such as a pull test. My job was done between other jobs At their convenience. The job strung out over 1.5 years and when all was done, the result was a decking full of bubbled up product. I had the factory rep and another roofing company out both of which confirmed the issues was an application problem.

In response to the problem, Knox roofing suggested a different solution with an additional charge to me exceeding $10,000.00. In the end, I agreed to have them keep the $500.00 down payment and have since moved on to another company in search of a better outcome.

I cannot say how much I appreciated every interaction I had with this great company. From the initial call to final accounting, everything was professional, high quality, responsive, and all delivered with good nature and efficiency. My garden was cleaner after Knox left than it was when they arrived, and the new roof/chimney/gutters are just beautiful. I highly recommend this firm for your roofing needs - large or small!

We had an unusual issue. Dead vines stuck in the rain gutter and underneath roof shingles, hanging down from a steep 20' roof that I couldn't get up to and looking very ugly. I called several different roofers, tree trimmers, and gutter cleaners and no one would come out to do the job. Luckily Knox came through for us and did a terrific job at a reasonable cost. Much appreciated!

Did the job but added about 5K for repair work which was just about half of what the total bid for the job upon signing the contract. Didn't send pictures at all of the repair work as requested but the GC was assertively aggressive and persistent when collecting payment including threats for a lean on the property - mind you they never sent any updates or confirmation of completed job and did get full payment within 10 days of completing the job.

Very expensive and then they started coming after me an additional $3k after the work was done! Finally stopped harassing me when I told them I'd see them in court. Did a good job replacing my roof though.

The roof they put on 4 years ago has leaked 5 times. given they do eventually come out and repair it a brand new roof shouldn't be leaking every single time it rains. Its causing damage to my walls and interior. I was told that the roofer that did the work used nails that were too short and they had to replace the whole peak. everything's been downhill from there.

This last time I called because water was running into my bedroom they didn't even bother to come out. Not even sure what to do at this point cant afford another new roof and this one is under warranty still. I will call them again next time it rains.

I just recently had my roof replaced in Santa Cruz. I had several bids and finally decided to go with Knox. I am very glad I did. Their crews showed up as scheduled, really got the job done right and were a delight to work with. There were several "surprises" from the previous roof job (done 30 years ago) and the Knox crew was able to handle all of them in a timely and very professional manner.

We have now had two different rainy systems pass through the area and it is so wonderful to have the existing leak problems solved! Very great group to work with. I appreciate their work immensely! Tom D.

Stopped here when I saw a large amount of Manzanita they had in their yard. I was looking for driftwood for my aquarium and the owner let me take some premium wood for a low price. The guy working in the yard was super helpful and was an aquascaping hobbyist himself, he had some good advice for me. I didn't use them for actual roofing, but I can say that if that guy in the yard that day is working on your house, you're in good hands.

We ended up in court Breton the owner let us down so much took my full payment and said the job was finished and it wasn't. getting him back ment taking him to court yo findh. still promises but doesn't action back to court we go.

I called Knox Roofing for a quote to replace my 25+ year old shake roof, Warren came out the very next day! He was sooo though with the walk through and gave me a great estimate for everything I needed to have done. He came under a bid I received from another company with higher quality product plus I needed to have the entire roof plywood done! His team of folks are super friendly and professional especially Sean in their home office.

He called he to advise I had severe termite damage, sent me photos and gave me a quote to repair it. I highly recommend these folks for any roofing needs, I had my sister call to have her home and business work done! I have attached a few photos! Thanks Warren!

We had Knox roofing do our roof - in the winter. It started to rain, the unfinished roof started leaking. The crew came out to tarp. No more drips. They finished our roof, and did a beautiful job. I would recommend Knox Roofing. They have been around a long time, and there a reason for that.

I had to get back in contact with them on the roof they did for me to find some matching shingles. I thought the roof was just a couple of years old because it is in Perfect the shape with no issues. Time does fly they did the roof in 2002! They were great then they are great now. Roof is in a very windy harsh weather area with not so much as one loose shingle. They were so great I had them out to do a small shed for me. The were fast, totally professional from start to finish and a great deal. The best

Updated on 10/17 Francisco did make it eventually for an inspection a few days later than the initial date. Hopefully, the whole process will get smoother and smoother as I proceed with getting Knox to repair my roof by mid of next month. I hope to turn this to a 5 star review after the fix. === I haven't left a yelp comment for years. Had an appt with Francisco on Monday at 10:30. Waited at home for an hour.

No shows. No calls. Texted and called him. No replies. I then called the company, and they didn't know what's going on. Told me to have Francisco call me back. Being disappointed, I had to schedule with another roofer from Santa Cruz. 24 hours later, eventually got a text from Francisco apologizing for an emergency he had. Not sure what I should do now. But I prefer not to cancel the other one I had scheduled

We've personally used Knox Roofing 3 times. They did our Roof in Santa Cruz, CA 14 years ago, our flat roof areas 5 years ago, and just this year re-did our natural Wood Shingle Siding, all 3 times did an EXCELLENT job!. They are by far, the most professional, customer service oriented Roofing company I have ever used. As a Coldwell Banker real estate Broker and professional Property Manager, they are always referred first because they are not only the most professional, but also reasonably priced. Warren the owner came out personally to bid the job and Rick was especially superb in executing the job-they take good care of their customers. I highly recommend Knox Roofing!

We had Knox redo our roof about 10 years ago. Second or third winter, we had water intrusion after a storm - and it came in through the undersized ridge vent they installed. I called and after A LOT of hassle, they agreed to "repair" the roof Now 10 years later - take a look at how effective the "repair" is Water intrusion under the shingles, a bad job that resulted in rotting wood NEVER USE KNOX

While working on my roof at my apartment complex Knox Roofing employees ended up dropping large (6"x6") pieces of sheet metal (with sharp edges) and other debris off my roof that put 2 holes in a green house that I use for an artist studio on my porch! Now I have to get it replaced, especially before the rain, so everything inside doesn't get ruined! This seems like a real safety issue, and their lack of positive communication to get this resolved is astounding!

Recently has a complete new roof installed. They did a tip top job, more than I expected and at a much lower price than other roofers. Workers were very polite and cleaned up at the end of every day. By the way. I love his cheesy commercials! At least they are funny, sincere, and to the point.

The Knox Roofing owner, managers and employee's were all top notch and professional. If any issues or concerns arose they took care of it in a timely manner. The cost of the new roof was very reasonable and the roofing job was completed in 3 days. I am happy to recommend Knox Roofing to anyone needing repairs or a roof replacement. If you get a chance stop by their showroom they have a lot of unique wooden carvings, sculptures, furniture, bird houses, Knox garden boxes and more.

Knox Roofing is a top-notch firm. They focus on a quality job and don't cut corners. Other roofers might promise a job on the cheap but you'll pay more in the end. They also go by the book on their workers' safety. As a home owner, I don't want to be held liable for cutting corners on worker safety. And, their people are friendly. AAA
