Mission Valley roofing was highly recommended by our Ygrene contact person Red. My husband and I had done some research and received estimates from 2 other companies but decided to go with this company because of our trust in the recommendation. They did the job but we were not very pleased. I will not go into details but our concerns were as follows: * one person did the roofing and a job that could be done in 3 days took more than a week * their clean up only includes hauling the big trash but dirt inside and around the house is not their responsibility which for us was a disappointment and a frustration because we had to clean every single day of their work and even after they were done because of all the debris that was falling off our ceiling! * when we included the skylights, initially the company referred us to another person, when that didn't work out, they decided they will take the job but the work was just mediocre.
Very disappointed especially with one of the workers who seemed not too happy to be doing his job. * lastly, aesthetics is of no concern to them. There is a difference between doing a job and doing a great job. This company is just there to do a job and don't expect anything else. I must say this though, they are a good group of people to deal with. Just not the best when it comes to our expectation of a great company.

We had only a small job, an area of dry-rot in the fascia and soffit caused by a leak further up. The next day after calling they had made a thorough inspection of the whole (30-year old tile) roof and were very experienced, knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood construction and open to my questions. Cost was reasonable, and they fitted in a day at short notice, good job, would use again, and would recommend.

I used Mission Valley Roofing for a complete new roof 3/18/2011. They tore off the old one completely and did some framing work that needed to be done. They did lots of work and it struck me as a fair price. The job was wonderful. They were efficient and they did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. They kept me in the loop on everything.
I didn't have anything to compare regarding their price. We had some service work done 3/2013 and Mission Valley Roofing came right out looked at the problem and fixed it so we could get the house re-stucco. Thanks Mission Valley Roofing for getting it done and a GREAT Job.

I just had a bunch of roofing repairs done this week on my 25 year old roof. Working with the whole group, from the owner to the superviser, to the men who actually spent 2 days at my house was a great experience. They were professional, accomodating, friendly, efficient and skilled. I have no complaints at all! Since I didn't get up on the roof myself, they took lots of photos to show me their work.
In addition to fixing the leak, replacing tiles and rotted wood, etc, they also replaced (and painted) other wood that had termite damage and some dry rot. They did an excellent job with that. Looks perfect! Thank You Mission Valley Roofing. I'm so glad my neighbor referred me.

Mission Valley Roofing did a great job on my classic 1947 home in La Mesa. The installers were there every day at 7am and I'm thouroghly impressed with my Owens Corning 40 year roof. I had a little bit of rotten wood at the eaves and they did a great job of matching the rafters (which are round) and making sure that they got the proper wood for replacement in my older home.
They took about a day longer than they originally estimated, but I suspect it was because of the wood repairs. They even cleaned up my sidewalks and driveway cleaner than they were when they started.

I too am on the board of my HOA, and 5 years after getting the roof, there response time and warranty has not been good. First, I personally have had 4 leaks in the same spot. Which means, every time that it has rained since I bought my condo, I have had to deal with that leak. Finally, after the third time they assured me it was the last, so I got the internal damage fixed.
Now it is raining again and I have the same leak. Additionally, they blame the leaks on leaves collecting and need of maintenance. I have called 7+ times to get the estimate, and left messages with the receptionist every time. She claims a sales rep will call me back, but he hasn't, and it has been over a year I have been trying to get this estimate. Too bad we invested so much in the roof that we are stuck with them. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

I'm on the board of Park Row a condo association with with 223 units. We spent approximately a million dollars having mission valley reroof our buildings. Five years later lets just say I'm not impressed with their follow up warranty care. I'm not going to get into it here, but if yo want to talk about it contact me. Jason Ok after reading Ron W's comment I just have one thing to add.
Why didn't they come to the board and say here are the issues that we are having with you guys and this is what you can do to correct it. And this is what its going to cost to correct it, and this is why it isn't covered under warranty. The leaks that we experienced are on the flat roof portion of our roofs, (the part they did) not the sloping tile portion.
Come on we know the difference between tile sloped portion and the flat portion that Mission Valley did. Bottom line we spent $1,000,000 dollars with Mission Valley and they couldn't even bother to come talk to the board? Really? Its true! Sad but true. Oh and the investigation that Ron is talking about regarding Roy Steins unit, well it consisted of putting a garden hose down one of Roy's bathroom vents and turning on the water to see if it would leak? (I can't make this stuff up) Well it flooded out Roy and caused 5K of damage that Roy had to go to his insurance to collect from.
I really don't have an ax to grind with Mission Valley their work itself seemed pretty good, it just that they wouldn't fix anything under warranty. I'm just a board member not a construction expert but come on, if a roof is leaking and its something that just got reroofed shouldn't it be covered by the warranty? Anyhow your mileage may vary, and you might indeed experience Mission Valley eager and willing to come patch your roof after they have your money in pocket. I'm just saying that wasn't our experience at Park Row.

Wulf and his guys did a commendable job on our flat-top gravel roof. We needed some seams fixed where they meet the aluminum flashing (gravel stop?) and patching around vent pipes. I thought the cost was a little high - $3k for a day's work from an expert roofer and his assistant. Nonetheless, this was half of another company's quote. I felt they had a pretty good idea of roof maintenance.
